I'd save Koufax for last untill your better since he was the best pitcher of all time.

I have made good players before......(ex. Raspberry, Gary Murray)
But I make them real.....if it is rookie then their skills are not going to be "ripped"
I can make the "ripped" players, but I choose to make "real" players......
Right now I am working on Kyuji Fujikawa....

For the best players of all-time, they should be ripped (like Ruth, Gherig, Mays, Ty Cobb, Koufax). If anyone is interested in helping me, then I'll make a thread about it. I'm not willing to do this all on my own or even half of it, I'm hopping we can get a large number to make an organized arrange team.
You know yourself and your ability much better then I do, so if you think your up to challenge, go for it  .

Hmm, I'll give it a try. Yes, we should. We should first make a list of the best players of all time (which is much less contraversal) and then narrow it down to the best for each position. The outfield is very debatble with the exception of Ruth. My guess though is that it will be Ruth, Dimagio and Mayes (if there is someone better, which would you take out, Dimagio or Mayes? There virtually equals).

DiMag for sure. Bill James said that Mickey Mantle was better than Joe.

I tried making a Ty Cobb a while ago and he turned out decent... The Fielding irks me to this day... way too low. Looked up his BIO on Wikipedia and everything... Shame I didn't get him just right.

Obviously the year of birth is off and he played before they started wearing
numbers...

Also made a Lou Gehrig
That was just not right but as good as I could get at the time...
His Con should be 15

Those are good, but I need to be as historically accurate as I can. I made a thread about the hall-of-fame team. I think we've knocked out Willie Mayes and its now between Dimagio and Ty Cobb (Dimagio didn't play long enough to compare his career statistics to these two so I'm trying to put together a comparison based on hits a year, homers a year, ect.). I'll now use this opportunity for some shameless advertising viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1650
