You should make Roberto Clemente beacause it Hispanic Heritage Month.

To bad it's impossible to make his swing in the game.

Sandy Koufax cause he has a funny last name.

I'd save Koufax for last untill your better since he was the best pitcher of all time. I might try him, although maybe we should leave that to the player creating elite (like Welz, Odwali, Wyl, many others I can't think of). I haven't seen your players, or if I have I can't remember them so I don't know your capabitlities. I'm not sure if I'd be good enough to make him either.

How come no one ever talks about making Pete Rose? He only holds the record for hits....what kinda of stats would you set him at?

Nap Lajoie, who once hit .426 in a season, way back in the old days.

What about Ricky Henderson? All time leader in runs scored and Stolen Bases all time and in a season (some 164!)

Hmm, that would be an interesting one. I'll try to make a real player or to. What about Babe Ruth, the best player to play the game. He would be almost impossible as he is the only real or success mode player this year (I've seen) that is better then Sttitch by a wide margin. He was one of the better/best pitcher of all time (easy hall-of-famer as a pitcher) and without doubt the best fielder/hitter of all time. He had more Homeruns then any 2 teams combined one year. Lou Gherig is also one of the best (and maybe second best) because he not only put up some of the best numbers, but he also did it at a time where the only other guy to do it was Babe Ruth. Willie Mays, Mantle, Shoeless Joe Jackson, and Joe Dimagio are up their to and should also be made. Maybe we should make a hall-of-fame expansion team like last time, but as a group effort? I would like that and I'd put it in my game in the same division as my expansion team and she how they compare. Then I wouldn't have to hold back on making my players too good.
One could also just scatter them around to their respective teams and make the game more interesting. The poor Rays and D-Backs then wouldn't stand a chance though and the Phillies, Yankees, Dodgers, and Athletics would crush everyone.
I agree on Henderson by the way.
If anyones interested, I can make a formal list and assign players/make a table showing which players are done. I'll make sure to find a way to post my players so if anyone else is on-board I can actually post them.

Gah, I'm staying away from Bonds. There will be too much arguments and contraversy of which one, the guy before the steroids or after (and did he even take them, which he did). He would have been a hall-of-famer before so I guess it would make sense to make the one before he hit 70+ homers.

but willie mays would be harder because he was so well rounded, he was the ultimate five tool player.

Babe Ruth was the ultimate 9 tool player, Top Speed, Stamina, Control, Breaking Balls, Speed, Fielding, Arm Strength, Power, Contact. Willie Mays just has to be a very good player and closish to maxed with 14 A (on an all time scale) Contact, A 215 Power, ? speed, A Fielding, A Error Resistance, A Armstrength. Ruth would be practically maxed with Maxed Power and Contact, A-/B+ speed, A- Fielding Arm Strength and Error resistance with virtually every ability, Maxed breaking balls, High top speed, closed to maxed control, very high stamina, most pitching abilities, you get the picture. Plus you'd have to find star.

are you kidding, he only had double digit steals 5 times!
and besides, he was also a pitcher, so thats unfair. If willie mays knew how to throw a splitter or something, he would have been a great nine tool player too.

Willie Mays was a wonderful player and one of the best all time (and I exagerated his speed, he was very fast but not a very good stealer, he should have B-), Babe Ruth was without the best of all time not just by his stats but by the fact that no one did anything close to what he did at the time. By the time Mays came around, rules favored batters, bats were stronger, and condition was much better.
