If your accuracy is as wild as you say it is, start at a standstill before doing the running heave.

Control before power.
It's like me and tennis... I can smash serves at around 120+ mph again, but if they aren't going in the service box, who cares?

Is this thread for real?

I find it to be a bit comical... Going from a SS to a pitcher is a huge leap! If you are able to pull that off you should in theory be able to learn to play any position.

What is the baseball program like at your school? If its good I would think that the coaches could spot talent. If you got it (talent that is) then you are in. If the program is good or so so then if you are proficient and bust your butt you will find a spot on the team.

Being smart enough to play multiple positions will highly increase your value as a member of the team. Being mentally prepared to know what you are supposed to do at X position is huge since skills can carry over from position to position. Practice practice practice will improve your abilities but I think mindset will be your biggest strength. Being mentally tough you can will yourself to do just about anything. People have given good advice on here but you have to do your homework. Have you ever gone to any baseball camps or read any books on the subject?

I love the game of baseball but never went out and tried to get help like you are doing. I applaud your efforts and hope you really give it all you got.

1. I hope you will take into consideration all the advice you have been given from everyone on here.
2. Next you need to put desire into the physical action of practicing and developing your craft. You need someone to practice with you when ever possible.
3. You need to not only practice but to practice doing things properly so do the research (books, videos, etc.).

and... get coaching. Someone has to tell you what to fix in your swing/pitch to make it the best your body can do.
