it would seem the balls are another indicator of post counts

however, if you have a special "rank" you have 5 balls.

yeah, I think Tim Lincecum pitched himself right out of the CY race last game :(

He just never had his good stuff from inning 1 on. He had given up 4 runs, but only 2 earned due to an error on Aurilia at 3rd, until he put 2 men on and Yabu came in and pooped himself, running the ERA up for Lincecum by allowing both runners to score.

Oh well, it was a fantastic season for Tim, and I can only hope it prepares him for a even better 09, but I'm afraid theres just little to no chance of him getting CY this year. Wins seem to still be the most important factor to the voters, and Webb is hard to deny with 21-22 wins.

Its been like a kick in the nuts the last week, to have the Dodgers clinch and to see Tim go down in flames the last two starts. :evil:

I want to know how Roy Halladay would do if he was on a better team.... That W-L would be more and less respectively.

I could say that about Lincecum too- he probably would have been 25-2 this season on a decent team...
