Still no reply from 2kSports.. :(

Well, its only been a day after all.. At any rate, lets keep on discussing about how to obtain that gyroball.. I have a feeling that 2ksports is either taking their time or they're not gonna tell us at all.. X.x Lets keep a back up plan in case they decide to hold back the answer..

What about the ghost girl Re's. On her last RE, maybe she goes back to space in a spaceship, and you see it spin away. I don't recall anyone saying they finished her arc.

I've seen something like this...

You challenge her to a eating contest

You visit her at night at the fountain

She randomly visits you again

She tells you about her boyfriend being a dog

Don't know after that??

Well, after a large sample section of S/L's on secrets of pitching, I have determined that unless the % is less then 1%, Gyroball CANNOT come from that book. I got every single skill from SoP, and then got another book and S/L over 100 more times to see if it offered any skill aside from poker face/battler switch, and out of 100 tries i got poker face all 100 times.

basically, when you get all the skills, all soP will do for you is replace battler with poker face, and vice versa. So there seems to be no way at all to get gyroball from the book, as was originally reported in the other Gyroball thread.

I thought this was the case, but had to be completely sure, so took the time to S/L a good amount to get a sample size worth reporting.

Gyroball will almost certainly come from an RE, and I'm betting its a very low % even if you get the proper RE to trigger it.

This page on the wiki shows how to type the special characters.

It's just a coincidence that she looks like the hot dog person. But that gave me an idea

Maybe there is an extremely low chance that you win the hot dog contest and you get dizzy from eating so much and you get gyroball.

I've reloaded the eating contest about 20 times and also come across it many times because I thought there was a chance to win as well. But now, I don't think so.

I'm not really surprised. My first guess would be that SoP won't give you Gyroball, or Intimidator for that matter. Those abilities are too powerful to be given in a book and always have their own special methods of acquiring.

Yeah, I have also reloaded the SoP many times...with no luck...
So that eliminates that possibility...
I am also going to finish the success mode player I am working on...
And make a player for just RE "research"...
Woptie-do 200 posts....

I think this thread is going to get as long as the original one

You know the RE when you go to the MLB game? I just have this weird feeling its there... maybe the event that normally gets Shuuto Spin has a tiny chance of Gyroball... I mean, they're both on the second page...

Yes but in this thread we are "brainstorming" about how to get it....

This is my front runner for gyroball too. I figure if its got a chance to give a red ability, it might also have a chance to correspondingly give a blue one. So hard to re-load for REs though, since being random, they cant be reliably generated in the first place, much less the one youre looking for.

Hopefully soon someone will strike gold and get that 1% chance to get Gyroball on whatever RE it is...

Yeah. If there's a version where you don't have the food or it doesn't wreck your food. I'm in the middle of making a lots of S/L char, it'll be a while before I get there though, I'm in first year with gambling ring.

Something tells me it's more obvious than we think, in other words we are trying to hard.

GUYS I HAVE THE REPLY!!!  :P Ok, so this is the question i sent to them(this is how i asked them the question):

"While it may be too much to ask, I am having a difficult time acquiring the Gyroball skill in MLB power pros 2008's success mode, and I was hoping if you could give me several hints on where and how to get it.. I have been trying all kinds of story lines in success mode and i still cant manage to find it."

This was their reply:

"Hello,

This is triggered by dating one particular girl and getting your “steady” meter really high, almost to 100%.

Thanks for contacting 2K Sports

I mentioned "success" mode during the question, so I'm pretty sure that despite the fact that he said "steady", he's probably not referring to MLB life.. I also mentioned that it was for MLB power pros 2008, so it HAS to be either Patty or Emily ( can't be Lucy, she gives Dr. K and intimidator already..)

Come to think of it.. Every time i dated Lucy, the message bar always gives me a notice saying "Lucy is now a special person to you," but i never had that message with patty.. and i haven't dated Emily either..

It seems that we were right about the gyroball being learned from a date.. Im guessing a special RE will ONLY trigger once you manage to get 100% steady..

I am a pitcher...
But there is only 3 weeks left....
I got a pricey handbag...(how do i give it to her?)
