Here are my thoughts

TPSD 97
CTRL 140
STAM 150

V-SLD 3
CCHG 2

Vs Lefty 4
FB Life 2,
W/RISP 4
Spin 2

Recover 4

Any Other Suggestions?

Don't give him safe pitch or recover 4 yet. Not proven yet.

Recovery 4 is a must for all pitchers

I wouldn't give safe pitch either. 0.4hr/9 in the minors, but .9hr/9 so far in the majors. Also no starters get recovery 4, none in the original game.

No, he deserves it, because we're looking through his entire career.

Well....if your theory is correct that abilities shouldn't be given until proven then any rookie we create prior to playing in the majors would be;

Hitters: 1,0,0,0,0,0,0

Pitchers: 0mph control; 0, stamina; 0

Safe pitch not only means giving up home runs either, it means it sending the pitch down the central corridor for an easy hit, or a pitcher that paints the edges as well. What would probably be better, is if you guys edit four pitchers. Give one Fastball life 2 and spin 2, the second give only safe pitch, the third just fat pitch, the fourth give him safe pitch, FB life 2, and spin 2. See who goes for more homers....

I wasn't trying to burn anyone. The ratings I had up were what I had come up with which will be different to what you guys come up with. No one truly knows what giving an ability, or a certain amount of power, control, stamina or fielding eres will do. Some abilities that I give though are based upon experimentation, which was the premise of my argument. Don't just base your players off what I do or anyone does. Experiment with different abilities etc, run simulations of seasons etc.

Boys, settle down, and let's stay on topic. K?

His minors HR/9 is consistently in the mid-low zeros, so I agree with having Safe Pitch as an ability for him.

I totally agree. You just don't know what abilities do what over the course of multiple seasons. Best to just try it out.
