I just read on this site that "In My Life 2008 Oakley is your friend from the start since he is the same age as you and joined the team at the same time as you. His skin color varies as well as his position.".

Oakley retired after one season. He came in at the same age as my player to AAA at 36 years old. He retired that off season. I see nobody else named Oakley on my team. Oh well. He isn't in my list of friends either. Maybe he's going to surprise me and tell me he wants me to go in on a successful rib joint in Texas when I retire.

Maybe he got traded?

And did it say on that list of retiring players?

Yes, his name came up on the list of retirees in the news report.

/Wonderful! I just went back and played another week's worth of games and my level decreased despite playing very well.

That's funny about Oakley. The downside is there are certain people/events that can't happen in your career until you're at a certain friendship level with Oakley. So if he retires that soon there will be things you'll never get to do and people you'll never get to meet.

In my game, I'm in 2017 and Oakley has bounced around as mostly a career minor leaguer/September call-up guy. We started together on the Rangers and he never got out of AAA before being traded to Oakland. He got a few September looks before being shipped off to Houston, and then to KC, and currently he's with the White Sox. He was actually their starting CF when we played them in a series in May or June, but I noticed later on my chat screen that he'd been sent down to AAA again -lol-

So Oakley is going to be that guy who ends up playing with 15 teams...

so does that mean that no matter what you have to be 5 star friends with Oakley by the end of the second season to be able to continue seeing him??

Nah, I didn't get past 1 star with Oakley until like year 6. The only reason I bothered then was because it was mentioned that you had to get to around 4 stars with Oakley to meet Joshua, who was the only agent I hadn't seen yet.
