Everyone got all riled up about this and it is turning out really lame. This is barely a hurricane at all. Landfall in less than an hour and all is cool so far! Wind not too bad here and no power outage. The digital cable crapped out though. Sigh.

The towns near the coast are underwater though. Good luck to all in the area ridding this one out.

You're staying?! Why didn't you leave with everyone else when they THOUGHT it'd be worse.

WOW!!! That kicked a@@. Between midnight and 5 am I thought that the world was gonna end. I cannot believe how hard the wind picked up and the rain came down. All I could do was sit in the dark and listen to the rain pelt down and the wind slam up against everything in its path. When the chimney started to hum because the wind was blowing so hard, it sounded like a pack of ghosts trying to haunt my house.

I am not disappointed at all in how this turned out, as it was the most epic storm I have ridden out since Alicia in '83. Perhaps I should not have stayed, but anything under Cat. 4 is not going to drive me out of my house.

I hope all the other members on this forum that live in the area made out ok as well. I know I am lucky, because millions of others around here are still without power. The remnants have picked back up, so more rain is coming.

I have never been so happy to have electricity and running water right now.
I did speak too soon.

The grocery stores here are a mess. There is almost no food available, and the lines are ungodly long. I am hoping the pizza place around the corner is open. Or maybe Sonic.

It is raining again today and is very miserable. But I managed some Dr. Pepper and put it in the freezer for football. Everyone else I know is without power. Any other H Town people back on the forum yet?

I got my Steven Jackson jersey on. Man, we got killed last week.
Guys on SportsCenter are saying that it could be a trap game for the giants.
GO RAMS!

sorry for being off topic.
