I remember there was a Game of the Year topic at some point that set me towards the idea of thinking up my Game of the Year for every year since 1994. Well, I finally made the decisions and got the video done, uploaded, and eventually published.

Can someone explain to me why there are so many different minor league teams? Only a fraction of guys make the majors anyways. With a few hundred minor league teams, you're looking at over 5000 players. That's ridiculous

So, I try to keep up with the roster moves in the MLB, and upon today's check, I found two things that make zero sense:

The Padres designated P Jason Lane for assignment. Lane, in two games, had pitched 4.1 innings, allowing only one hit, and striking out four.

The Angels sent Grant Green to the minors. Green: A) Can play at least three positions, and B) Is hitting .359 with 6 RBI, and riding a seven-game hitting streak.

These basically make no sense whatsoever.

Those are what those in the business call "odd men out".

Of course, if that were the case for every team, Phil Coke would be shot out of a cannon into the sun by now.

Cashner's coming back from the DL. The Angels don't want to get rid of Ibanez for some reason, and C.J. Cron was the only other possible casualty.

Haven't been watching, but I have been following it. I would imagine they're excited up there? I know here most people are pulling for TCU.

Welp, I'm off on a long road trip now. My brother has a college visit at Nevada-Reno, and then we drive for awhile to Utah where we'll be staying the night.

When we finally get where we're going, we'll be in Omaha for the CWS.
