My school's prom is in 2 weeks, looking forward to not going.

Also I get off of GDL on May 9th.

Meh, I was actually kind of a little bit disappointed when I went to prom last year.

Pretty much every state has GDL laws, google it. Can't drive from midnight-5 a.m., and you can only have 1 non-family member in the car for the first 9 months you have your license.

They won't let you go to prom just because you're a Sophomore?

That still doesn't explain what GDL stands for.

And yes, most schools have that rule. Here (and in most other places), prom is for juniors and seniors

Graduated Driver's License, it doesn't really matter what it stands for though. Plus all you'd have to do was google it.

And because all the juniors and seniors is already a whole lot of people. There has to be a cut-off. Besides, if everyone can go, it doesn't become as special anymore

Using context clues, I think you would have assumed that it was the second result.

I don't see prom as anything special, it's just a dance... A really big waste of $, IMO. But for a large school, a cutoff makes sense.

And yeah, only juniors and seniors can go to prom (unless a junior or senior asks you) and then sophomores, juniors and seniors can go to the After Prom Party.

Prom sucked. Least favorite dance of the year. I usually went alone to dances but danced with whoever I wanted. Except when I went to the Sadie Hawkins dance with the girl I had a huge crush on and a future Miss Nevada (two different girls, FWIW).

Going to the Phils game on Tuesday vs Toronto. Last time I saw them it play the Jays was spring training in Feb. 2013, which Kendrick started and I think they lost. We'll be in left field, row 11, section 147.

Forget to mention, we played against a team yesterday who's assistant coach was Damian Miller. In case you don't know him, he was born in La Crosse, WI, which is the nearest major city(about an hour away from where I live) and went on to play in the MLB. He won the WS with the Diamondbacks in 2001 and was an All-Star in 2002.
