It swings back and forth and there is no way to stop it.

My first ever post here. I got my '08 more than a month ago, but just started playing Life yesterday.

I use Chien-Ming Wang from NYY as my character. It's the end of May '08 and I am 10-1 (the loss being the season opener) with a sub-1 ERA and 80+ KOs.

The problem I am having right now is that Wang's face/mood is mostly gray between starts and outright purple on the day he starts. I tried chatting with Mia and doing hobbies, but they didn't seem to help. Any suggestions on what I can do to cheer him up?

Thanks.

A grey face means he resting/recovering from his last start. So that means he will be like that every day except your starts(or until you pitch again if you have more than 4 days of rest).

I am in the month of July for my character who is in Year 3.

For the 4th Time All Star results came out my character had 3 million votes while Pujols only had 2.2 million. (My character is a charcter, btw)

Well, I finally got back into the mood to play this mode again. And it was very fun, especially since I had a outburst in august. Expert difficulty, no lock on batting, and normal pitch speed. This was my guys 3rd year in the bigs.

My final season stats
.351 avg
25 2B
1 3B
69 HR's
149 RBI's
14 sb
1 cs
.318 avg w/risp

I won player of the week 3 times
week 17 .500 avg 3 HR 8 RBI
week 19 .435 avg 8 HR 19 RBI
week 24 .440 avg 7 HR 14 RBI

I won player of the month once in August and absolutely tore it up
.417 avg
21 HR
46 RBI

I made the all star game for the first time this year and went 1-2 with a Home run. I also got to play full time LF starting mid august lasting through the whole year and I rarely got taken out for a defensive replacement. I led the majors in home runs and was in top 3 for RBI's and average also.

My Cubs went 112-50 to win the central division, and I haven't played the playoffs yet.

My guys abilities now:
3 trajectory(almost 4)
10 contact
195 power
8 run speed
12 arm strength
8 fielding
7 e res
New blue abilities:
Firstball hitter
Table setter

Well, we lost AGAIN! in the NLDS to some team(don't remember) and I totally sucked up the place going 3-18 with 1 HR and 1 RBI(talk about horrible). Well I ended up getting a $7.7 Million contract. I started my 4th year and was off to a bad start ut now I'm blazing, it looks to be another really good year if I keep it up.

4 years into a career my guy has a contract for 1 year under 2 million bucks and still plays 2ndB for the Red Sox.

He has maxed out in bat control, speed, and fielding. He is at Level C.

Contact A 15
Power D 108 (just learned golf helps with power!!!)
Fielding B
Error Resistance A
Throwing C

He has under 100,000 fans still and despite leading season 3 in stolen bases and occasionally leading the league in hits he hasn't done much else. My guy is always tired and I live off of Powerin and Rest. I used to see the doctor a lot but then we started going steady so I only get the occasional turn and cough check-up.

I own a condo which I paid for up front since my guy is 36 now and I didn't want to finance. I have a motorcycle and Mia is also one click away from being steady besides the Doc. I have the 1st two agents and Lowell is at 4+ stars on friendship.

I just started playing golf more and am only at an F. His culture, darts, fishing, movies et al are very low.

I am always trying to rest as of reaching a certain period in level C. I just played a great week of ball driving in runs and getting hits to lead the league again and my Level has dropped down although it still says it is a C.

The next player I use will start out at around 22 y.o. so I can build up his stats et al better than this player.

I hit a funny glitch in 2017 that I'll have to work into my player log (ugh, I'm 2 years behind in writing now). After the first several All-Star votes I was leading AL third basemen with close to 4 million votes. Second was Chone Figgins at 3 million, and I don't remember who was third but they were around 2.5 million. When the final results came out, my name wasn't in the top 3 and it had Figgins winning with 3.3 million votes (I had more than that at the previous update), and third place only had about 2.25 million. Nothing had changed to my player, didn't get traded or injured or anything. I'd had a bit of a rough week at the plate with purple motivation between the next to last and last voting results, but not so bad that I should have had all of my votes revoked -lol- I ended up being a "coach's selection" for the team. Weird...

is it maybe because you didnt play 3rd base in that week so u didnt play enough games at 3rd to be eligible to play at 3rd in all star game?

ok on my hitter Comet, playing on expert lockon 1

rookie season: (Mariners)

-Make the roster but had to fight for a job as a starter.

-Wilkerson is the starting RF and I only get pinch hit appearances every game. didn't do too well and got sent to AAA.

- got called up again after a week or so, returned to being a pinch hitter with a spot start here and there. didn't do too well and got sent to AAA again.

- got called up mid-late May and then got a few good games and stole the starting spot in RF.

- went on to belt 93 HRs and 177 RBIs and .365 AVG and 44 SB

- As a team, finished with 105 wins best in the MLB.

- ALDS played the TB Rays and was down 2 games to none, then won 3 in a row. In the last game, was down 3-2 in the top 9th, but got 2 runs off Dan Wheeler to take the game 4-3...

-ALCS played the Yankees and got swept 4-0... In the last game, both teams keep tying the game late and in extras, we took the lead 5-4, but then the Yankees tied it 5-5, and Bobby Abreu hit a walk-off grand slam to seal the deal 9-5...

- WORLD SERIES --> REDS SWEPT YANKEES 4-0!!! Mark Ellis MVP...

You bounced around between AAA and the majors, on expert, and then all of a sudden became good enough to go on to "belt 93 HRs and 177 RBIs and .365 AVG and 44 SB"???!!!

Apparently you are doing something in your player's free time much better than I am. Hell, I am on Normal and cannot get my guy to hit more than 2 HRs so far in his 4th year and 1 HR each proceeding year.
