I'm not entirely sure why a player having a heart issue warrants postponing a game, it sounds bad when I say it like that, but really. The game was started and a player couldn't continue, that happens all the time for different reasons, some people have injuries that end their career on the ice and they just get sent to the hospital and play continues as normal. People in that sport literally get their legs broken and stay on the ice to finish their shift, they play through several broken ribs and a punctured lung. Even Peverley, when he was conscious, wanted to get right back into the game.

That being said, I hope he recovers fine and continues to play for Dallas later. As a classy ex-Bruin, he's my favorite player on their team.

If I'm missing some information here, let me know, all I know was basically from a few minutes of Google searching.

I pitched in our varsity game tonight. I relieved 2 innings for our ace. I pitched 2IP, only let 1 base runner on (pegged a guy) and struck out 2 recording the win because we won on a walk-off.

My season stats:

Speaking of, there was a high school hockey player up near Grand Rapids that just suddenly passed because of an enlarged heart. Didn't happen during a hockey game, but it feels relevant to share that now.

Anyways, went to the doctor to get my ankle checked out because the trainer was concerned that it wasn't getting better as quickly as it should. Turns it out that it is a type IV fracture, and not a high ankle sprain, but probably won't require surgery. I have to go back and see the foot specialist tomorrow to make sure. The doctor today thought that it'd be fine if I just got a cast on it for 6 WEEKS. That means crutches for 6 more weeks. D:
