i think there are still some green abilities, but gyroball is pretty much the only useful one left.

Hey I was just thinking the other day about some events.

1) I know Sittch will get you the original pitch by doing lake stuff but is there anything else he will give you if you keep seeing him.

2) I know in AAA there is an event with Joey i believe about his girlfriend. What do you earn for completing that? Ive tried many times but always run out of time before seeing the last events.

Having Joey introduce you to Pelene can give you 'Gd Pickoff'.. From Sittch you can get the following: Hot Hitter, B2B Hitter, Recovery, Gd Pickoff, Contact Hitter, Power Hitter, Spray Hitter, Fastball Life, Spin, Gd Sense, and (Hot Head).. That I know of.

Btw, about the star ability...

I haven't gotten it myself but i do have some suspicions on what RE might trigger that skill..

There's an RE at the park when you're dating Lucy.. A couple of kids will be playing baseball at the park and lucy (with you) will play with the kids.. After approaching the kids, one of the kids will recognize your character as a member of the AAA Golden Apples.. and after that, you play baseball with the kids and i got a "+11" likability with Lucy..

I haven't S/L that much to the point of getting a "star," but this event COULD give you the star ability because i rarely get to see this event and it could be possible since this RE is compatible to getting the "star" ability..

CAUTION: This RE may also trigger while you're still at the AA Green apples.. and the kids WON'T recognize you as a baseball player... after that I never triggered that RE again with my character even after i got into AAA.. If anyone is gonna test this out, i suggest you wait until you get to AAA and S/L like hell if you wanna see the star ability...

This is just a theory guys.. i can give no guarantees but this what i think.. so i'm sharing it.. :mrgreen:

That makes a lot of sense.. I've had this event come up about 4 times now and I've played baseball with them each time.. I haven't got any ability from it yet.. Plus Lucy seems to be the one that shows off her baseball skills to the kids. Maybe NOT playing baseball with them (like a real star would probably do) is more likely to give the ability?

This is more of a 'what about trying this' post, than a 'how to', so I hope nobody gets mad... This discussion started in the GyroBall thread, but I figured I'd post it over here where I think it belongs.. I just wanted to know if anyone has consistently tried NOT playing baseball with the kids to see if the "STAR" ability can be attained?

If you keeping going to Sittch eventually he will say he cannot show you anything anymore, he will give you a Legends of Baseball book (which you can use to get Power Hitter, Contact Hitter, Fastball Life, or Spin).

don't know if it is already posted but in the Frank story line, near the end I think, I got "Sparkplug". Only got it once out of about 15 chars and I always do the Frank line.

You can also get SPARKPLUG when Marvin calls you up to go to the cave and tells you to bring a flashlight.
