What is that, your second highway robbery in one month or something? Sheesh, you would think the CPU is programmed for "Totally stupid trades" :lol:

Maholm does have better breaking balls than Verlander, and same goes for Zumaya. You'll have to train up their curves especially and get them a H-SLD in spring training.

Maholm for Verlander is a steal enough. Throw in Zumaya and, like I said, that's highway robbery.

That's what imma saying. I think they wanted Maholm, A) less pay and B) better breakers.

It is for me! Verlander 1030, Maholm was 400, The oldest player on my roster is Nomo at 39, and he more than likely will not be back next year.

Verlander with a quality start loss, the damn offense never got going for us.... Very disappointed to be swept, especially with playoffs at hand.

JULY MONTH IN REVEIW

As July comes to an end August brings new hope, and new talent! For August we need to gain some ground on the Reds, 5.5 games back and only games left with them. We have done some major and minor trades. Lets see what we can do. The team finishes July with a modest 14-11 record, 4 wins less than June. July was also the ending of many injuries like Michaels stint on the DL for 33 days. Volquez took a 15 day trip their too, now all better and playing well.

PIRATES ACQUIRE ONE LAST PLAYER, BUT WHO IS IT?

He plays on the Marlins, he's perfect for my outfield ok, I'll tell you. It's Cody Ross. At 27 he's still fairly young. We gave away even younger but struggling Nate McLouth. Our Outfield will look pretty different for the rest of the year.

DOUG WAETCHTER WILL GET A CHANCE AT ML
He's going to be taking the place of Craig Hansen for now.

Well, we are 3.5 games back of the Brew Crew, heading into Miller park 6-0 but come back 6-3 and then play themat home, 2-1.... We ended our season series with them, losing the last 4 of the 6... Welcome to Sept....
