Like I said, as long as I play the game, this is supah easy to update. (Mainly thanks to Prediction, for telling me about puush. )

The Brewers head to St.Louis this weekend to take on the 1st place Cardinals. Betancourt and Lucroy are both back in the lineup, and are looking to make up for their lost time. Good luck to them!

Injury Update
April 14th, 2013- SS/2B Jeff Bianchi has been called up from the majors, after starting the season on the disabled list. He is expected to stay on the big league roster at least until Rickie Weeks returns from his stint on the D/L. Hopefully he can help the big league team!!

April 14th, 2013- The Brewers looked to complete their sweep of the Cardinals today, at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. Milwaukee also entered the day riding a 5 game winning streak. The scoring didn't start until the 4th, when David Freese knocked in Carlos Beltran with a single. It remained a 0-1 ballgame, until the Brewers came up to bat in the 8th. Logan Schafer led off with a groundout, but Gomez walked and Aoki singled after him. Braun came up next, and delivered, with a 2 RBI double down the line in left, grabbing a 2-1 lead for the Brew Crew. Ramirez singled after Braun, and Lucroy was hit by a pitch following that, leading to a bases loaded, 1 out jam for the Cards. Segura delivered an RBI on a sac fly to right, scoring Braun and making the lead 3-1. Freese smacked another RBI in the bottom of the 8th though, with a solo homer to left center off of Brandon Kintzler, who was pitching in relief of Kyle Lohse. That was all the Cardinals would get though, and the game entered the 9th with the Brewers ahead, 3-2. There would be no more runs, as Narveson earned the save in the bottom of the 9th. David Freese was the player of the game, going 3-4 with 2 RBI's, 1 run, and a homer.

The Brewers completed their second sweep in a row versus the Cardinals, and are currently on a 6 game winning streak. It was a low scoring 3 game set, but the Brewers' staff pitched well, only allowing 5 runs.

Game 1: Martin Maldonado hit a pinch-hit, go-ahead single in the 10th inning, scoring Scooter Gennett and leading the Brewers to a 2-1 victory. Marco Estrada went 7 innings, only allowing 1 run.
Game 2: Segura had 2 RBI's, on a single and a sac fly. Gallardo pitched 6 innings, and struck out 6. The Brewers won 3-2.
Game 3: The Brewers scored 3 in the 8th, and Lohse pitched 8 innings while striking out 7. Those 3 runs were all the pitching staff would need, and the Brewers won 3-2 again.

This sweep allowed the Brewers to pass the Cardinals, and grab a hold of 1st place in the NL Central.

The Brewers start an interesting series against the NL West leading San Francisco Giants today. The Giants started the season 1-5, but are now riding a 7 game winning streak to put them at 8-5. The Brewers also put their 6 game winning streak on the line, and look to play well in front of their home crowd.

That Cardinals preview made them look scary... then you swept them.

Also, 2-11 Cubs. Accurate simulation is accurate.

Yeah, I honestly didn't expect to sweep the Cardinals!!

The Brewers took 2 out of 3 games from the Giants, and continue to play well, improving their record to 11-4.

Game 1: The Brewers were blown out in game 1, losing 1-9. Fiers pitched 4.2 innings, allowing 6 runs, but only 3 were earned. Vogelsong pitched a gem for San-Fran, going 9 innings, allowing only 5 hits and 1 run.
Game 2: The Crew bounced back in game 2, winning 7-3. All 7 Milwaukee runs were scored in the first 3 innings. Braun homered in both the 1st and 2nd inning, and had 4 RBI's. Wily Peralta earned the win, giving up 3 in 6 innings of work.
Game 3: The offense stayed hot in game 3, scoring nine runs in a 9-2 win. Lucroy had two homers this game, totaling 5 RBI's. Estrada went 8 innings, allowing 2 runs(1 earned), but walked 5.

The Reds leap-frogged the Cardinals in the NL Central standings, and sit 1 1/2 games back of the Brewers, who remain in first.

The Brewers take on the Cubs again, at home this time. The Cubs have been struggling this year, and are only 3-13. Hopefully the Brewers can get another sweep!

I am curious about one thing...you did get rid of your buddy Mat Gamel, right?

He's out 10-12 months with a torn ACL. Seeing as Hart is a free agent after this season, and Betancourt and Gonzalez are aging, I think I may need him at first base. As much as it kills me.
