Washington -- The Nats lost a well-fought game today to the NL West leading Dodgers. Shawn Hill pitched 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits, for the loss, while Aaron Laffey went 7 and 2 thirds for the Dodgers allowing 0 runs, striking out 13. I think they lose ROTY elligibility after one day of MLB service time.

I don't think you don't want to be too similar. There's a line between being influenced by something, and copying something, no matter how good that something is.

Granted, an update style on a baseball video game forum hardly applies, but it's a good life lesson none-the-less.

New York -- Nats win extra-inning thriller over division leading Mets. Michael O'Connor pitched 10 innings, but that still couldn't do the trick, as he ended up with a no decision. Oliver Perez went 12 innings for the Mets allowing 0 runs on 7 hits, getting a no decision as well. Mark Ellis went 3-6 with a double and an RBI, the only one of the game. Jose Reyes went 4-6 for the Mets.
