Washington Nationals (26-31) @ Arizona Diamondbacks (30-26)
June 1st, 2008

Arizona -- Tim Redding had a nice outing today for the Nats en route to his 4th win. Redding pitched 7 and 1/3 innings allowing 2 runs on 5 hits while striking out 8 and walking 2. For the D'Backs, Doug Davis threw 5 innings allowing 5 runs, 9 hits, and 4 K's, getting his first loss of the year. Nick Johnson went 2-5 for the Nationals today smashing his 13th home run of the season and knocking in 3 runs. Mark Reynolds went 1-3 for the Diamondbacks hitting his 4th bomb of the season.

Rays and Nationals Complete Trade
Washington -- Chad Cordero's bags were packed today, as he was sent to the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for starting pitcher Matt Garza. Matt Garza (96 DB 3SLD 3CB 2CHG) is only 24, and proves to be a solid part of the rotation. Meanwhile, Michael O'Connor was sent down to AAA and Matt Garza and Andrew Cashner were pulled up to the MLB. Andrew Cashner will take over the closer role for the time being.

So, when you guys do these write-ups, do you manually play the game? Because I always wonder why the scores aren't 27-6 and whatnot.

I watch the games. I'm so competitive that if I lose the games while playing them I get really frustrated. Plus, I never lose, I kill the computer even on powerful with no lock-on.

Is Wily Mo in a starting role now after all these trades? I'll take him regardless.

Edit: I'll take Cashner as well.

All agents, if you haven't suggested a practice for your player(s), you can if you want to.

I always played my games, I feel like watching an entire season of updates would be boring. :/
