Do you guys think that the MLB should intensify or increase the duration of suspensions. Or even increase it into something more severe? I think that guys like Ryan Braun who have been under the gun about steroid useage should have a longer suspension or a more severe penalty that wouldn't damage them financially or anything like that, but just make the, not want to do it again.

It's going to be pretty hard to damage a guy like Ryan Braun financially. And that's what I think they should do. Longer suspensions. Set the example with A-Rod and give him a lifetime ban.

Why would A-Rod receive a lifetime ban?

And will sorta hurt Braun financially. I mean, he's without pay until the end of the season, and while I don't know his contact numbers, I would assume he's losing millions

Oh, come on. You're a smart guy. I think that this could be the end of the line for A-Rod. Maybe he won't get a lifetime ban, but it's a possibility and I think it should happen.

But they have no reason to ban him for life. He's never had a drug related suspension (despite the fact that he's admitted). A-Rod is a shitty person, but thinking he should receive a lifetime ban makes no sense.

He's also being investigated for interfering in an investigation.

It did slip my mind that he didn't get suspended the other time for using steroids, though.

If Ryan Howard admitted/was caught doing steroids twice and was interfering with MLB investigations then yes.

Look, Alex Rodriguez was my favorite player up until he admitted to using steroids. It's sad. I really liked him. Ryan Howard is my favorite player now, but if he was in all of this I would want a big punishment for him. I want the game to be clean. I want MLB to send a message and I want to be finished with the steroid era once and for all.

Why is it just the MLB with this problem? And I agree with paul. They need to start making a serious ban for cheating.
