I remeber those days, before the internet when we only had local bulliten boards. I was a member of one called Steve's Place where this guy, steve, had 12 phonelines hooked up to his computer. At the time that was so cool and a big deal, you were lucky to find someone that had more then one phone line.

We played 2 games. One was just for the board, DnD type which I don't recall the name, where a bunch of us would go journey through a dungeon. It sucked if you had a slow modum and the lag time would be horriable.

The other game was more like a global war where we would pitch one bulletin board verus 3 or 4 others. You had to conquer land from someone on one board that you attacked by sending airplanes, tanks, troops, that time it would take depended on the lag time between the two boards, sometime a few hours to find out if your attacked succeded and how much land you took. With that land you built things like solar panels, farms, hydorplanets, minning, for your income along with taxes.

Those were the good ol days.

this new MMORPG came out (beta) today...it's called perfect world....
well currently I'd rate it as a so-so MMO, cuz it doesn't really help beginners much, and it looks like all you do is quests unless you hop to pvp server.

I played Maplestory sadly, but i've found an alternative. Maplestory Private servers. I got to 200 in like 3 days.

of course, everything else free is, and some stuff that isnt free...

I play Runescape. I am level 107 atm. I used to play the game: Cronus. (I forgot how you spell it.) I'm trying to find another MMO to play since RS is getting boring. Any suggestions?

Mabinogi
(Runescape 3D anime, more realistic)
Combat Arms if you're into FPS, if CA didn't have hackers, noobs, etc it'd essentially pass Counter Strike

I played MUDs way back in the day (early 90s), most notably GemStone III when it was free on AOL (yeah good old days of AOL) and even afterward when it was a pay service. I left there to play WoW for about 6 months, got sick of it and quit. Played the trial version of EVE Online, was impressed but not impressed enough to pay $14.95/month.

There should be an MLBPPMMORPG (blah try saying that 5 times fast)

I used to build and write plot for the graphical MUD Realms of Kaos. I've been playing Final Fantasy XI for over 4 years now. Yeesh.

Try saying it one time fast, I can't.
I used to play runescape a lot. It's actually not that bad. I now play 1 every 6 months.
