I recently purchased MLB 2K12 off Steam. After some editing (h/t to dish for showing me the best mods to download), the game actually becomes kinda good. Combine that with the realistic contracts in Franchise Mode, and you've got yourselves a game.

Anyways, I'd like to do a log for this game. It'll be very similar to dtigers' Rockies log, but I'll be focusing just a bit more on the league itself.

Backstory (Optional): Dan grew up in a small town in Utah, where he excelled as his high school team's quarterback and starting shortstop. He went on to attend the local Brigham-Young University, where he continued to play both sports. He ultimately made the East/West College Bowl as a junior, but struggled in that game (being picked off by East cornerback D'Squarius Green Jr. three times). Thus, in his senior year, he elected to focus on baseball full time. Concerns about his health caused him to fall to the 12th round of the 2011 amateur draft, where he was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies. After an impressive showing in the short-season rookie league and the following Spring, he was moved to AAA. With a good year in AAA and during September in the majors, he hopes to earn a spot on the 25-man roster by the start of 2013.

Colton, or "Colt", is a speedy left fielder with natural talent, an unquestionable work ethic, and a lucky red undershirt that he wears to every game. He attended a charter school through 3rd grade, and remains well-disciplined to this day. Colt is from Lowell, Massachusetts.
