Nice, I like the uniforms. And the logo is better than I would've had the patience to do.

This log may have to be canceled, not sure about it. Diamond Dynasty has introduced more bugs into the game, and one that got introduced 3 or 4 days ago and hasn't been acknowledged by the developers at all, has gone from bad to worse, from being extremely annoying to making the game mode almost unplayable.

If you want to try to help, visit the following link, log in to your PSN account, and vote up the bug report (click the Plus):
http://theshownation.com/bug_reports/11352

If you have more than one PSN account, use them all. I have no idea if this will help in the slightest, but getting it voted up will make it more likely that they'll see the issue. It just probably won't change anything if they choose to ignore it like I think they have been doing and I have strong reasons to believe that's the case.

Well, I did say almost unplayable, so I guess I can still try to play it using the players I have now. But if I can run out of players and this still isn't fixed so I can buy them efficiently, then I'd probably have to be done with it, as it is now, I just don't have nearly as much motivation to play as when the mode worked properly (for the day or so that it did). And, unless the voting went up by some odd coincidence, I can only assume someone here voted up the bug report just because they were interested in the log...

Season 3, Game 2:

Miami Marlins at Boston Bruins (1-0)

Marlins: 0
Bruins: 14

The Bruins dominated, simple as that. Eddy Gonzalez hit an inside the park home run off of a glitch, and the decision to rest Gio Gonzalez for this game proved to be a good one, as he pitched another complete game dominating shutout.

Player of the Game: Gio Gonzalez

Thornton: 2-5, 2 HR, 2 R, 3 RBI
Ellsbury: 3-5, 2 2B, 2 R, RBI
Zimmerman: 3-5, 2B, 3 R, K
Ortiz: 4-5, HR, R, 4 RBI
Gonzalez: 2-5, HR, R, 3 RBI, K
Lewis: 1-5, K
Cooper: 1-3, R, BB
Davis: 3-4, 3B, 2 R, RBI
Curtis: 3-4, HR, 2 R, 2 RBI

E: M.Lewis

G.Gonzalez: 9 innings pitched, 5 hits, 0 runs, 14 strikeouts, win

Win: Gio Gonzalez (2-0)
Loss: Ricky Nolasco
HR: Thornton (2), Ortiz, Gonzalez, Curtis

---

I don't know, it definitely seems like I should be increasing the difficulty at this point, but the last few times I've tried the higher difficulty, I've lost by scores like 10-0. I don't know if what I'm on now at this difficulty is a hot streak that's going to end soon and make the games realistic again, but I'm not really having fun scoring that many runs and having no batters in my lineup hit under .300 in a game.

I guess I'll try the higher difficulty, and if I get dominated in a humiliating loss, whatever, this win streak is getting to be too long and the wins are pretty ridiculous themselves.

Season 3, Game 3:

Boston Bruins (2-0) at Tampa Bay Rays

Bruins: 8
Rays: 0

The Bruins look like they're forgetting what a relief pitcher is, as Lester threw a complete game shutout following what Gonzalez did last game, he ran into a few problems but got himself out of all of them. David Ortiz hit a huge 2 run home run about 450 feet in a 4 run 5th inning to give the team breathing room.

Player of the Game: Jon Lester

Thornton: 1-5, 3B, R, K
Ellsbury: 2-4, 2 R, RBI, K, HBP, SB
Zimmerman: 3-5, 2 2B, 2 R, 3 RBI, K
Ortiz: 2-4, HR, R, 3 RBI, K
Gonzalez: 0-4, 2 K
Lewis: 0-3, BB, R
Cooper: 0-3, BB
Davis: 0-4, K
Curtis: 1-3, 2B, R, RBI, BB, K

J.Lester: 9 innings pitched, 4 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk, 12 strikeouts, win

Win: Jon Lester (1-0)
Loss: Alex Cobb
HR: D.Ortiz

---

Okay, I think I'll be sticking to this difficulty, although the final score may look like I dominated about as much as on the lower difficulty, the game didn't feel that way at all. I was extremely satisfied when I was able to crush a home run in that game, and it felt like I needed to be patient and look for my pitch to be successful, I even drew a few walks, and my hitters who aren't any good weren't just effortlessly getting several hits.

As for pitching on that difficulty, the catcher doesn't even suggest anything to throw, so I had to make my own decisions on every pitch, and it seemed to work out for me for the most part, apart from the walk I gave up leading to a jam with runners on second and third.

Also, on this difficulty, I got about 9 million budget for the win, instead of the 6 million or so I got on the other one.

The fact that you are managing to play a full DD game against the CPU is a victory in and of itself.

The last 3 attempts I have tried have resulted in the game freezing on me.

Is it before the game starts?

Have you checked all 4 of your lineups to make sure they work, and the pitching rotation?

All of them have been in-game. The selection screens have been fine for me.

Well I haven't even heard of that one before. Is it the kind of freeze that slowly destroys the console by forcing you to shut it down or unplug it every time?

While most of my time involving this game is spent typing up bug reports for the constant new glitches that keep appearing in the game, there are those rare times I actually play a game despite all of that.

---

Season 3, Game 4:

LA Dodgers at Boston Bruins (3-0)

Dodgers: 11
Bruins: 12

The Bruins played one of their most tense games of their franchise history against the Dodgers today. It seemed no pitchers could manage an out early as the score was run to 9-5 Bruins as early as the third inning (3 run home runs by Davis and Curtis). Pitchers were able to settle down after the game was tied at 11, pitching scoreless 7th and 8th innings. Joel Hanrahan was the clutch pitcher in this game, he was able to recover from a misplay and an error (on a double play ball, no less), leaving runners on first and second with nobody out, he was able to strike out the next two batters and get a poput for the third out, he went back in for the 9th and didn't allow a run there either. The offense was able to get Hanrahan the much deserved win as Mike Lewis lead off the inning with a ground rule double, advanced to third on a passed ball, and Barry Cooper hit a weak chopper that the second baseman was able to barely cut off with a dive, but the throw to the plate was just late and the Bruins earned their first walk-off win.

Player of the Game: Tucker Davis

Thornton: 4-4, 2 2B, RBI, HBP
Ellsbury: 0-5, 4 K
Zimmerman: 1-5, 2B, R, K
Ortiz: 1-5, 2B, 2 R
Gonzalez: 2-3, 2B, 2 R, RBI, BB, SF, K
Lewis: 3-5, 2B, R, K
Cooper: 2-5, 2 R, 3 RBI, K
Davis: 3-4, 2B, HR, 3 R, 4 RBI
Curtis: 2-4, HR, R, 3 RBI, K

E: B.Kelly, S.Thornton

B.Kelly: 4 innings pitched, 6 hits, 6 runs, 5 earned runs, 4 strikeouts
P.Aumont: 1 inning pitched, 4 hits, 2 runs, 0 strikeouts
J.Feliz: 1 inning pitched, 3 hits, 3 runs, 1 strikeout, blown save
J.Shannon: 1 inning pitched, 1 hit, 0 runs, 0 strikeouts
J.Hanrahan: 2 innings pitched, 1 hit, 0 runs, 2 strikeouts, win

Win: J.Hanrahan (1-0)
Loss: Matt Guerrier (0-1)
HR: R.Curtis, T.Davis, M.Kemp, H.Ramirez

---

Yeah, the first game where I won 8-0 must have been a fluke, this was a really close game. It was pretty annoying to give up a 4 run lead, but I guess I came back from a 4 run deficit, so I can't complain.

Season 3, Game 5:

Chicago White Sox at Boston Bruins (4-0)

White Sox: 4
Bruins: 2

The White Sox blatantly paid off the home plate umpire in this game and it paid off for them big time. The Bruins couldn't string anything together as they had to swing at everything because the umpire had a ridiculously humongous strikezone when they were at the plate. Davis and Curtis extended their unlikely home run streaks, but they were both solo home runs that didn't really do anything.

Player of the Game: Chris Sale, 8 innings pitched, 7 hits, 2 runs, 11 strikeouts

Thornton: 1-4, 2 K, SB
Ellsbury: 1-4, IF 1B, 2 K
Zimmerman: 0-4 (but no strikeouts, impressive in this game)
Ortiz: 2-4, K
Gonzalez: 0-3, K
Staton: 0-1, K
Lewis: 0-4, K
Cooper: 1-4, 2B, 2 K
Davis: 1-3, HR, R, RBI, K
Curtis: 1-3, HR, R, RBI, K

R.VanVorstenbosch: 6 innings pitched, 8 hits, 4 runs, 5 strikeouts, loss
G.Gonzalez: 2 innings pitched, 2 hits, 0 runs, 2 strikeouts
J.Hanrahan: 1 inning pitched, 0 hits, 0 runs, 1 strikeout

Win: Chris Sale (1-0)
Loss: Ryan VanVorstenbosch (2-1)
Save: Addison Reed (1)
HR: T.Davis, R.Curtis, A.Rios

---

The streak was bound to end. Now I have to get some more players following these retirements...

D.Ortiz
J.Hanrahan
J.Motte
G.Gonzalez

This is the retirement pool for the current hall of fame. Anyone interested in voting, put all 4 players in a list, and put them in order of who is most deserving to who is least deserving. Probably just one can make it to my hall of fame, if that.

I can get some odd stats for now on retired players, but this won't always be possible, maybe I'll dig stats out on a game by game basis later, who knows? In any case, now I'll give these stats.

Gio Gonzalez: 20 innings pitched, 14 hits, 2 runs, 0 earned runs, 1 walk, 1 home run, 29 strikeouts, 2-0 record (0.00 ERA)
Jason Motte: 2.2 innings pitched, 0 hits, 0 runs, 2 strikeouts, 2 saves (0.00 ERA)
Joel Hanrahan: 6.1 innings pitched, 5 hits, 2 runs, 1 walk, 1 home run, 9 strikeouts, 1-0 record (2.84 ERA)
David Ortiz: 18 hits, 14 RBI, 3 2B, 5 HR, 9 R (.419 AVG)

---

Replacements look like they may be...

Justin Morneau
Carlos Zambrano
Alfredo Aceves
Brian Wilson

Gio Gonzalez is now inducted to the hall of fame on a unanimous decision.

---

New players for the Bruins next season are in fact:

Morneau
Zambrano (will be activated midseason, when it's his turn to start)
Aceves
Wilson

As predicted.

Season 4, Game 1:

St.Louis Cardinals at Boston Bruins (0-0)

Cardinals: 2
Bruins: 9

The Bruins were down 1-0 early and things weren't looking good, but Case Royal picked up his pitching to get out of the jam and give the Bruins 6 solid innings, by that point, the Bruins offense made the game a blowout.

Player of the Game: Ryan Zimmerman

Thornton: 2-5, HR, 2 R, RBI
Ellsbury: 4-5, 2 2B, 4 R, RBI, SB
Zimmerman: 4-5, 2B, HR, R, 5 RBI
Morneau: 0-3, 2 BB, K
Gonzalez: 2-4, HR, R, RBI, K
Lewis: 0-3, BB, K
Cooper: 0-4, K
Davis: 2-4, R
Curtis: 1-4, 3 K

C.Royal: 6 innings pitched, 6 hits, 1 run, 1 walk, 7 strikeouts, win
P.Aumont: 1 inning pitched, 1 hit, 0 runs, hold
R.Cortes: 2 innings pitched, 2 hits, 1 run, 1 strikeout

Win: Case Royal (3-1)
Loss: Adam Wainwright (0-1)
HR: S.Thornton, R.Zimmerman, E.Gonzalez, M.Holliday

---

Felt like this game, there were times when my discipline was just awful, and then there were times my discipline was too good for my own good, I think there were 3 times I struck out looking on a 3-2 count because the ball wasn't in the strike zone but got called anyway, one of those was with the bases loaded too.
