IS Greg Maddox and/or Randy Johnson still playing? If so what kind of shape are they in? Would like to kick the tires on those two. Should be short term use and should be cheap at this stage of their careers.

Oh just a random guy. Not for this. I need to get in the groove of things, so I can make guys for this though.

Tell you what, I was never good at Success Mode 08 but let me work at it and maybe I can help out.

So what do think about the guys I posted above. Go for em or no?

But of the guys listed, he's the farthest from a HOF lock. I say Smoltz

Well if we are considering salary as well, I am guessing Hallday and CC will not be cheap to pick up. Maddox fastball is about what it was in the early 90's still and has decent breaking stuff still. Smoltz too looks like he could be a help. Maddox or Smoltz as a bullpen arm, maybe even secondary closer type roll. Johnson isn't much help at this point it looks like.

Pass on Halladay and CC and Johnson.
Smoltz and Maddox only if you need the bullpen help and if the price is low.

Nah, if you're gonna add Henderson, get rid of a fielder
