Actually, he lost a WINNING streak.

But still, that's too bad. :(

Don't worry about it.

By the way, have you tried entering any passwords yet? Because there is a legendary player for Wii '07 that is on here. His name is Sifu.

I've been on a business trip since the whole time I've been here, so I haven't been to my console

Anthony, what does that have to do with the log? You could have just PMed him that...

Go Country go! What are the teams anyways?

I'm not sure I understand. My team is the Country; I'm in the AL Central. The other expansion team is the Honeybees. They're in the ALWest.

I just finished playing the Royals and am now in a series with the White Sox.

Did that answer your question?

Oh. Light blue and brown with white trim. I use the cowboy hat as my logo. It's quite nice, if I do say so myself

I was also wondering what your team colors were. I think that your colors would look cool.

4/17 – 19/2009: Iowa City Country at Chicago White Sox

GAME ONE: Bourgeois (90 DC SL – two, CU – three, CB – four, VSL – one) versus Snyder (95 GE SL – three, CB – three, SP – two)

Lineup: Cust continues to rest; Harris takes his spot at DH, batting sixth. Fields moves up in the batting order from six to fifth and Johnson moves from fifth to fourth.

Comments: the White Sox are probably hoping for a minor miracle from their starting pitcher, as all their other starters are still recovering from prior starts. So far this season, the Country have been virtually unstoppable, especially against mediocre pitching.

Summary: this was a close game untilmthe 8th inning. in the 2nd, 3rd, and 7th, the White Sox bunched together enough singles and doubles, combined with a Uribe home run, to score 5 runs, while the Country bunched together singles and used a Harris 3 run homerun to take an 8-5 lead into the 8th.

In the 8th, 2 singles and a walk to Hudson (after the count started at 0-2) brought up Milledge with the bases loaded and no one out. The Country pinch hit for Milledge, putting in the left-handed Schrager to face the White Sox right-handed reliever. Schrager drove the ball into the left centerfield gap that brought in two runs and allowed Hudson to make it to third base. Spilborghs hit a slow roller to short, and instead of going for the sure out at first, the White Sox shortstop came home, but was too late to catch the speedy Hudson. Dan Johnson then came to the plate and hit a hanging slider over the right-field fence for a three run home run. Fields followed with a homerun of his own. When the White Sox threatened, putting a runner at third with one out, but failed to score, the seven runs scored by the Country extended their lead to 15 – 5 heading into the 9th.

In the 9th, Jermaine Dye hit a three-run homerun, ending the game with a Country win, 15 – 8.

Game two: Iowa city country Lannan (89 EB SL – three, CB – four, CH – three) v Chicago white socks Danks (90 DB SL – one, CH – two)

Lineup: Cust was recalled earlier and Schrager optioned back to the minors. When asked why Cust was recalled when still in purple condition, the country GM responded "at this point, we think he's well rested and needs to play his way out of it." Cust will bat sixth in the lineup.

    By the numbers:

17 - the number of games played this season, and the number of HRs hit by Josh Fields (putting him on track to hit 162 home runs this season)
14 - the most runs scored this season by the Country were scored in this 14-9 country win
12 - the number of runs the Country had entering the 8th, while the White Sox had only 4
10 - the total HRs hit by both teams, combined
8 - this was one of eight games league-wide today in which one team scored 10 or more runs. The other teams scoring at least 10 were the Athletics, Mets, Dodgers, Astros, Nationals, Rockies, and Honeybees
6 - the number of runs Dan Johnson batted in. Johnson was 5/5, 2b, 2 HR, 6 RBI, 4R
5 - each team scored runs in 5 different innings
4 - the number of hits from the player of the game, Ryan Spilborghs, who went 4/5, 2B, HR, 3 RBIs, 3R, SB
3 - the number of hits, HRs, and runs scored for Josh Fields (to go along with 5 RBIs)
2 & 1 - 2 hits in Jack Cust's 1st day back (he was pinch run for after his second base hit (in his 4th at bat)).

GAME THREE: Iowa City Country Grindell (93 EC CU – three, CB – three, PA – three, HSK – one) at Chicago White Sox Buehrle (90 CA 2SF – two, SL – two, CU – 4, CB – three, CH – four)

Lineup: with Erdos having been sent down to the minors (Clay Timpner called up to take his roster spot) after reporting in purple condition and Milledge reporting in blue condition, Sweeney is starting in center field and Timpner starts in left. McCurdy is also given the day off, replaced at catcher by Towles.

Today's lineup is Hudson, Sweeney, Spilborghs, Johnson, Fields, Cust, Huisman, Timpner, Towles

GAME 3 SUMMARY: Buehrle reported in purple condition and clearly did not have his best stuff, but he made pitches when he had to, giving up 2 runs, but refusing to give up a big inning. Grindell reported in blue condition, but also pitched his heart out, limiting the powerful White Sox lineup to 2 runs, including a game-tying solo homerun to Jermaine Dye in the 4th.

Country minor-league reliever Murray, recalled with a number of minor league pitchers who were brought up when several major-league relievers in blue condition were optioned down, came in to start the fifth inning and give up a leadoff single. That runner reached third on two fielders choices and then scored on a Swisher single to center field. End of 5, White Sox lead three – two

In the sixth, the White Sox loaded the bases with one out. A single brought home one run, and then Andrew "fireman" Brown failed to shut down the White Sox, giving up a 2 run double.

The Country chopped away at the White Sox's six – two lead, but were inefficient, scoring 2 runs in the 7th, but Milledge (pinch running for Cust) was thrown out at the plate. An RBI double from Dye sent the game into the 8th with the White Sox leading 7-4. Buehrle did not start the 8th, and the Country hitters drove balls deep into the outfield, but each was tracked down.

Inning nine: Milledge, who entered the game is a pinch runner for Jack Cust, led off the inning with an opposite field single off of closer Bobby Jenks. Huisman followed with his only single of the day, off of the first pitch Jenks threw that was not a hard slider. Timpner followed by hammering a two seam fastball into shallow leftfield, loading the bases (tying runner at first) with no out for Brendan Harris. A comebacker to the pitcher resulted in an out at home. Hudson then hit a fly ball to left that the White Sox leftfielder settled under and promptly dropped for a run scoring error, leaving the bases-loaded (tying runner on second) and one out for Ryan Sweeney, who was 3/4 so far on the day. Sweeney hit a sharp grounder to the second baseman, who was playing in and easily turn a game ending doubleplay. End of nine, White Sox win seven – five

Awards: the MVPs for week two of the season was announced and one of the winners was Ryan Spilborghs, who hit 515 with 1 homerun and 13 RBIs in that week.
