There is an option regarding base stealing and default sets it to Auto. All you need to do is go to settings and change it to manual.

I set stealing to auto unless im using my speedster..........He hit .450ish though his contact is 5 lol i played every game

I've got a 300 hitting speed player with a 7 contact. He has Table Setter and Firstball hitter abilities though so that helps him.

I alternate between the two.

But yea, started a new season because the old one got me mad, never sent Durham down and kept Orlando Hudson in the minors, idiots! So, fought for a spot as a Starter for the Giants, became a Swing man, and because we only had 4 Starters, I became the fifth, almost pitching a Perfect Game, but some idiot actually got a cheap bloop to center. God, it's always some idiot who messes up my PGs and leaves me with a shut out.

Alternate the buttons. And set the stealing setting from Auto to manual. The requirements for a steal situation are:

1. Must be on first or second base
2. Must not have a runner in front of you.

sorry if someone else asled this but how do you run faster on the GameCube controller...when i steal i just hold Y and hope it works

Well, I'm with the Angels now. I'm not sure if I should have left the Cubs. We were such a great team and won the World Series twice in a row before I left, but I wanted to try a new team, but we're pretty good. We should make it to the playoffs.

i would like to be traded to a really bad team and see if i can help them win the world series...because the dodgers are just good by nature

In 2009 they've traded away Me (duh), Furcal, Jones (who under all circumstances would have retired instead), Saito, Kemp, and LaRoche (plus a number of unnamed AAA prospects).

Saito and I are with the NL Central Cellar Dwellers aka the Pirates. Jones is now in the AL, Kemp and Furcal to the Marlins, though I think I recall Furcal moving somewhere else.

It's kind of funny how our games take on much different appearances. In my MLB Life mode run, the Dodgers won the NL West from 2009-2012 (San Fran won in 2013). Andruw Jones was still with them at least as of 2012, when my team (Texas) faced them in the WS.

The Tigers went on to win it all

The last 3 years of my MLB Life mode (2010,2011,2012). It was the Yankees that I had to play in the AL championship, and then the Mets in the World Series.
