Sorry for the DP, but I also feel people spend too much time making the teams that boredom starts to set in. Because people don't like "normal" logs, people have to go out of their way to be creative, and a lot of the time, that kinda backfires

Are you saying it's wrong to talk to a bag of Skittles? Because if so, I'm going to need to rethink a lot of things. :P

You have to make the updates enjoyable to yourself. If you don't enjoy writing narratives, you should probably stick to game updates. If you don't like to do a bunch of game updates in a row, add a storyline to go along with them.

I started creating the players for the Gunmen in January, and I didn't start the log until August. There's nothing wrong with not telling people about your log and having everyone breath down your neck to finish creating teams for it. In fact, it's probably a good idea not to mention a log before starting it unless you specifically need help from the rest of the forum (e.g. Mendenhals, cooldude's video game log).

Yeah, when I did my log I found I was trying to do too much and it ended very quickly. Simpler is probably better in this case.

It all comes down to what you enjoy doing. If you hate doing your own log then it will not last long.
