---Free time---

Murfy rested.

Matt, Mike, Anthony, David, Jack, Philip, and Jeffrey all swam (Speed/Stamina +1 each).

Kevin, Randy, and Sonny had lunch together. Afterwards they all left and went home.

Jimmy and Johnny went to a special batting cage place and Johnny threw to Jimmy for an hour. (Johnny: Control +2, Stamina +2; Jimmy: Contact +3, Power +2)

Bryan went into town and stopped into a Subway. "I'll have a footlong turkey on wheat," he said. "I'd like american cheese and some lettuce too." He paid and sat down. A guy walked in, ordered, and asked Bryan if he could sit at the same table. "Um..." Bryan made a motion towards the other tables, all of which were empty. "I know. Listen, I'm a scout for the Red Sox. I'm going to be scouting your first game against P.P. World University" he said. "Wow, so how did you know I was on the team?" "Bryan, we're scouting you and another player- your third baseman, Jeffrey Stanton- specifically. We think you have what it takes to play immediately at the High-A level, if we can draft you. That is, if you enter the draft." "I'll consider it sir. Thank you." (Eval +5)

Scooter and Scott were getting into the pool again when they saw Robert down at the shallow end, and Chris and Jonathan entering the locker room. "What are you down there for, Robert?" asked Scott. "Um...it's kinda embarassing...but I can't swim. Well, I can...a little..." "It's okay, if you want us to leave you alone we will." "You don't have to," Robert said. Chris and Jonathan came out of the locker room, Chris in camo boardshorts and Jonathan in a Yankees T-shirt and jeans. "Stupid Chris...because he ruined the shirt last week I get punished, and have to go to the stupid pool..." Jonathan muttered to Scooter. "You mean you aren't even going to swim?" "Hell no," Jonathan replied. "What a waste of an opportunity," Scooter said as he swam away towards Scott and Robert. Chris was at the other end and did a cannonball off the diving board. The next guy up did a 360 off the board and Scooter recognized him. "Hey, it's Reese!" "Who?" Robert asked. "Oh, we met last week here. He's a pitcher for the Pink Sox." "Fortune College, eh?" "Yeah. He's pretty good at basketball and he can jump. Like, seriously, he can JUMP." "Are you going to go over there?" "I will, but I don't know about Scott." "I'll stay here and swim laps," said Scott. "Alright, I guess it's you two against me," said Scooter, but just then, another guy walked in. "Hey, Tucker," said Reese. "You know him?" Scooter asked. "Yep, he's on the Pink Sox too. He's like you, he only shoots from deep. He plays right field and threw out 12 runners at the plate and 6 at third last year." "In 12 games...Damn," said Chris. "Are we going to play basketball again?" asked Reese. "If you're up for it," said Scooter. "Tucker! Wanna play?" yelled Reese. Tucker started to swim over, but saw unfamiliar faces and stopped. "It's okay, they're friends," said Reese. Tucker shrugged and headed back towards them. "Fortune and Powerful?" asked Scooter. "Sure, if Tucker's fine with it," said Reese. Tucker nodded. "Well, then, let's play! Your ball," said Scooter. "Chris! Get over here!" Chris came over and saw Tucker standing there. "Damn, you're skinny," he said. "Dude, that's not cool," said Reese. "You can't insult him like that." "I was just pointing it out- who the hell is he, anyways?" "That's Tucker Davis, the Pink Sox' right fielder. Now shut up and play defense," said Scooter. Chris shut up, but didn't follow Tucker out to around 20 feet back, where he took a pass from Reese and banked in a 3. "No make it take it," Reese said. "If you say so," said Scooter. He took the ball and waited but Chris couldn't get open. Scooter called for a screen and Chris obliged. Scooter swished the ensuing jumper. 3-2, Fortune. "Play to 11?" Scooter suggested. "Sure," Reese and Chris said. Tucker just nodded. Reese took the ball and drove in off a good ball fake for a layup. Scooter took the ball and tried to pass but Reese stole the ball. He stepped back and shot a deep 2. It bounced off the rim but Tucker rebounded it and managed to put it in softly to give Fortune a 7-2 lead. "We're losing," Chris pointed out to Scooter. "Then score," Scooter said as a perfect pass hit Chris in the head. "What the hell was that for?" "You want to win, right?" "Yeah." "Then score some points." Reese took the ball and passed to Tucker for a 3. Tucker looked and passed on the chance. He faked a shot and drove baseline for another layup. Chris took the ball up top and took a jump shot, but it was about 5 feet short. Tucker caught it and passed out to Reese. "2 points and we win," said Reese. Scooter, being smart, fouled Reese. "One and one," he said. Reese set up for the first shot. It bounced off the rim towards Chris, who managed to swat it over towards Scooter. Scooter got the ball and shot immediately. The shot swished through the net, but Fortune still had a 9-4 lead. Reese took the ball and passed to Tucker, who was wide open. Tucker shot it from deep and it banked in to give Fortune the win. "That was a blowout," Scooter said. "I like pie," Chris said. "Good game," said Reese. Scooter looked at Tucker. "Do you, um, talk?" he asked. Tucker said nothing. "He does sometimes," said Reese, "but not around people he doesn't know." Afterwards everyone went home. (Scooter: Stamina +3, Chris: Speed +1, Robert: Stamina +2)

---Decisions!---

Same as last time. Train something (4 total), and do something with your free time. (This is your final week of training. Games are each Tuesday and Thursday for the next 10 weeks, with a practice Monday, and free time on Wednesday)

Scooter: Stamina all 4 days
Scott: Top Speed twice, Control twice
Chris: Arm Strength twice, Fielding twice

Scooter will go swimming, and Scott and Chris will rest.

I keep forgetting what happens in this story, so I'm pulling out.

I'm definitely thinking about it. He's only really writing a huge story about just a couple characters (none of which I know, so I don't read it) and I'm just getting kind of bored. Ultimately, I'll stay and at least see how the games go, so...
