There's an option in there, I don't exactly remember where, but you'll find it no problem.

Knights Lose A Close One

Image
Image - Kinya Shiokawa

Chiba Marine Stadium, Chiba City – It was quite the heartbreaker in last night’s contest against the Marines for the Knights, as they lost by a final score of 3-2, bringing their record to a still excellent, 68-26-2. The Marines just flat-out outplayed the Knights, as they were pretty evenly matched throughout. Yamato and Shiokawa both did very well, letting up 3 and 2 runs respectively. Shiokawa got the win, his 5th of his young career. And his twin brother, and catcher, Teruki, proved to be an annoyance, as his 7th inning homerun gave the Marines their lead. But, it was the homerun by Mori, which occurred right after that proved to be the difference in the end. His homerun gave the Marines their third run, which, in the end, was the winning run.

Former Knights pitcher, Kiyoshi Atori, known for his incredible curveball, will be pitching tonight, so in a rare occurrence, we here will be covering two games in a row!

Kanazawa’s Bat!

Image
Image – Takuya Kanazawa

Chiba Marine Stadium, Chiba City – The Knights pulled victory from out of the blue in this one, as the Marines really put up a fight in this intense series finale.

The Knights scored first, with a solo shot by Kanazawa in the top half of the 4th inning, Kurihara then hit one 3 pitches later on a curveball down and away, Atori’s “out pitch.” Thus making the score 2-0.

In the 6th inning, the Marines would start their attack. Shigeno misjudged a grounder, and it ended up rolling to the wall, Yano got an RBI double to make the score 3-2. Next inning, Fukuura hits a homerun to right to tie the game at 3.

With runners on 1st and 2nd in the 8th with no outs, Hiyama got both Shibahara and Yano to pop into infield flies, and then got Imae to ground out to first to end the threat!

This would prove to be big, as Kanazawa would hit a homerun in the top of the 9th to give the Knights the lead once again, his 3rd of the game!

Makida closed it out 1-2-3.

We picked agents, right? Anyway, Kanazawa is happy about his performance.

Who needs to be an agent when you have a job in the organization? :)

Cool!

Your team is already pretty damn good without these guys, though. But hey, since they're what you asked for, I'm happy to help you out.

I got a call from Preston, and of course, picked up.
"Hey Preston, what's up?"
"I've got someone serious pitchers you've got to come and look at. Like, now."
"Uh... Okay, I'll be right down then."

9:20

When I got to the offices, Preston was waiting for me in the lobby.
"Jack, come to my office please."
I followed him up to his office, to see a page he had up on his computer.
"Nobuhiro Shinboku? Why have I heard of him before...?" I asked
"It's probably because he's nothing short of potentially being one of the best pitchers to ever live." he replied
"Really now? He's that good?"
"Yes. Take a look at his stats:

Nobuhiro Shinboku
AGE, B/T, TOP SPD, CON, STAM, PITCHES
19, R/R, 151 km/h (94 mph), S (100!), A, 2-seam, hard slider - 7, cutter - 4, drop curve - 5, SFF - 4
Bio: Threw two no hitters in high school. He could've been drafted last season by the Lions, but decided to take a year off to assist his mother, who had fallen ill. His fastball's always around 151, and his breaking balls are nothing to spit at either. This kid's got the whole package.
Personality: Immensely kind"

"Holy... Wow. Okay. So, we should pick him up." I said
Preston laughed at this statement
"Hahaha, yeah right. He's going to be the first pick, which, as of right now, is looking to be the Swallows.
"Damn."

"Well, there is someone else too." Preston added
"Oh, right, who is it?"
"His name is Seiya Naka, and he's pretty damn good himself. Take a gander at his stats:

Seiya Naka
AGE, B/T, TOP SPD, CON, STAM, PITCHES
18, R/R, 160 km/h (99 mph), E, A, 2-seam, hard-slider - 2, cutter - 7, hard sinker - 3
Bio: His lack of control is both his greatest weakness, and one of his greatest strengths. His unpredictability really confuses hitters, but also leads to walks somewhat frequently. His breaking balls have a little extra spin to them, making them seem better than they really are. He's also good under pressure.
Personality: Unpredictable"

"Okay, so, how about we get him then?" I asked again
And, once again, Preston laughed at my inquisition.
"Hahaha, not going to happen. He's going as the #2 pick, no doubt. So, he'll most likely be going to the BayStars."
"Damn."

Preston and I spoke a little afterward, and then I headed back home. All the way thinking how good these two were, and how lucky that they'll both probably end up in the Central League.
