As a pitcher, a glove wax can equal +2mph, so getting a surprise bag and $200 in 1 turn equals +2mph from one turn. When your speed is in the 90-105 range, +2mph in 1 turn is more then you could get with any kind of practice/gamble.

There is alot of saving/loading involved there, but nothing more extreme then 07

The thing that got me was the high price of bats for little return. One practice for the skills points needed to raise my power by 5 points is better than working twice for the same amount of money to buy a bat to cover that same amount of points? No thanks. The gloves don't add much either for the price unless you are a pitcher.

The nice thing about Jaw is that doing 4 jobs will net you a $1,000 bat and 4 Surprise Bags. Do it four more times and you got your glove and spikes, plus 4 more Surprise bags. Easily 1 Gambler's Ring, a handful of Secrets of Pitching/Hitting/Defense and a few Waxes, if you wanted 'em.

(I wonder, if it costs more exp. points to train in something, will removing your equipped item lower those costs if you are near a threshold?)

Wow... ok, in that case it seems like my limited play has left me a bit behind the curve. I will certainly be exploring this tomorrow and for the next few days.

The 3rd Stittch visit gives you a free random glove, S/L till you get the one you want.

I'm still trying to find gyroball and a way to raise control (or just ment points) quickly

It takes about 3 shop visits, filling your inventory up with active drinks to max out your energy.

Nope. Stays the same. I tried it at the end of one of my characters.

I have been lucky with Dr. Goodjob since I've only gotten him once and I refused and still got lucky. But I was wondering how to find the dog in the PI job thing. Is it completely luck? So I have to save and such?

If you have too much money will Jaw never show up? I'm in Feb of Year 2 and he hasn't come up yet.

I saw him when I had around 300 dollars and I was suprised. I also thought he wouldn't show up unless I had arely any money, that only happened once with that kind of money though and I've made about 15 people.

Really we need to figure out what the earliest we can see Jaw is.

I'm pretty sure money has little affect on his chances of coming up.

The event to get him seems "uncommon."

I'm sure it's possible to get jaw to show up before your first game.

I'm thinking the 2nd month is the earliest you can trigger the event, possibly week 2, it is fairly uncommon, about the same chances as the steak house event, so expect to save/load alot, and any turn you get a steak house event, i'm sure you can get the Jaw one instead on that week.

I get Jaw to show up like the third or fourth day right after you start just about every time I have made a fielder. Which is why this version is too easy. If he doesn't show up in Jan, he will in Jun. I never even reload for him. It seems to me that this Re is very easy to get.

I've had Dr. Goodjob before, but I chose to pass.
