I read this log because it's one of the more descriptive logs I've ever read and it's awesome. I don't really care about making it look "swell," or making it more appealing to the eye. It's just really awesome how descriptive it is.

I'm just saying, if it was a bit easier to read, it would definitely go a long way. I can't read it without it

Don't try to appeal to the masses, ERISA, this log is, by far, one of the best on here. And if those two cant read it for such trivial means, well, then that's pretty stupid.

How is that stupid? All of the words get blurred together for me. What am I supposed to do? I'm just saying, taking the extra two minutes to format it can go a long way.

Nothing, then.

This log is very, very good. It's too bad that the reason you can't read this is such a small one.

Hey folks. I appreciate the compliments and the criticisms - really! I spent time to try & figure out the formatting, but I'm giving up. I type out my posts using the dragon iPad dictation app, or Siri on my iPhone and then paste it here. I could figure out how to make text bold, but it's a real pain - I can't highlight text and select a format - I have to hand type the codes before and after, and I haven't figured out how to add color.

If you have suggestions on things I can do with spacing, I'm all for it

7/29-31/2008

Series Summary: Country rebound from sweep by sweeping Honeybees

Game 1 Summary: Country snap out of their funk with solid 5 – 3 win over Honeybees

Country Depablos (93 DC SL – 4, CB – 3) versus Honeybees Karshner (88 EC SL – 1, KNC – 3)

Hitting stats:

Milledge 3/5, RBI, R
Erdos 1/5
Spillborghs 1/5
Johnson 2/5, 2b, HR, 2 RBI, R
Cust 2/4, 2 HR, 2 RBI, 2R
Harris 3/4
Hart 0/4
McCurdy 0/4
White 1/4, to be, r

Pitching statistics
Depablo's (W) 6 IP, 3R, 10 H, 4K
Brown (H) 2 IP, 0R, 1H, 0K
Chamberlain (S) IP, 0R, 0H, K

Game two: Country enjoy 12 – 3 blowout over Honeybees

Country Bourgeois (90 DC SL – two, CU – four, CB – three) versus Honeybees ??? (85 CC CB – two, FO – two)

Offensive stats:
Milledge 3/5, 2 RBI
Erdos 2/5, RBI, R
Spilborghs 1/5, 2b, RBI
Johnson 3/5, 2 2B, HR, RBI, two R
Cust 0/5
Harris 2/4, two HR, three RBI, two R
Hart 3/5, HR, RBI, 2 R
Huisman 3/4, 2b, three R
White 2/4, 2B, HR, four RBI, two R

Pitching stats:
Bourgeois (W) five IP, to OR, 8H, three K
Jiang (H) three IP, one R, 3H, one K
Brown 1 IP, 0R, 1H, 1K

Game three: Country come from behind, wait until ninth inning to sweep the Honeybees six – three

Country James (91 CD SL – two, CH – two) versus Honeybees Rio (96 DB SL – two, CB – three, FO – three)

On offense, every Country player got one or two hits, except backup catcher McCurdy, who went 3/4, and White, the second baseman who left with an injury in the first inning. Harris and Johnson got the only extra base hits on the team, both doubles, but when the Honeybees took a three – zero lead in the third inning, the Country chipped away in the fifth and tied the game three – three in the sixth, and then scored three in the ninth to put the game away. Solid pitching by relievers Stratton and O'Connor (A combined four innings, allowing no runs on four hits with two strikeouts) gave the offense time to come back and Chamberlain (1.37 ERA, 11 saves) shut the door quickly, striking out two batters around 1 meekly hit ball to the third baseman for the second out of that final inning,

Notable: for the month of July, Cust was named player of the month (467, 17 HR, 35 RBI) and Chamberlain was relief pitcher of the month (seven saves, 0 ERA, 7K). Honeybees, DeVore was rookie of the month (347, five HR, 23 RBI), and someone on country management who was not authorized to speak for the team mentioned that they are upset about that, as their new rookie, Hart, hit 475 with 10 home runs and 18 RBIs in that same timeframe.

It was a little hard to read because it is all jumbled up together, but if you can get past that, this is a great log! :D

Yeah, just bolding the titles makes it ridiculously easier to read. And yes, it is a good log

Monthly record overview. July 2008 has been was an amazing month for the Iowa city country, as it is the first month in which they have a winning record and the second month (April being the first) in which they scored more runs they allowed. They won 15/24 games this month, and although July has the fewest scheduled games of any month in the baseball season regular season, they scored 174 runs – 36 more runs than their last highest month, April. Of slight concern is that although Country pitching appeared to be better than in prior months, they allowed the second most runs of any month, even though there were fewer games. Perhaps that is attributable to their six games against a strong Rays lineup and three-game series against the powerful Tigers and White Sox. The Country tantalized us with two game sweeps of intra-division rivals the Indians and division leading Twins, and with winning 2 of 3 against the Blue Jays, Tigers, and Rays, making us think they could potentially make a run for the postseason, but getting swept by the White Sox dampened those hopes.

Current standings. The Country are tied for fourth place in the AL Central with the White Sox, at 51 and 55, one game behind the Indians, and a full seven games behind the division leading Twins. Since the Eastern and Western divisions boast multiple teams with stronger records than the Central leading Twins (the Yankees, Red Sox, and Rays in the East and the Angels and Mariners in the West) it is unlikely that the Central Division will get a wild-card spot, meaning that in order to qualify for the postseason, the Country would need to have the top record in the AL Central. Still, a 500 record does seem to be a realistic goal at this point.

Country's Remaining Schedule. The Country's August schedule is, arguably, a soft one, as they play two series against the Rangers, Indians, and A's – all teams with losing records. They do play seven games against the AL West leading Angels and Mariners, and their September schedule is brutal, starting with 10 games in 10 days against the Angels, Mariners, and Tigers. Then, after what is sure to be a much-needed day off, they play the same White Sox team that swept them earlier this month DID THEY TRADE RENTERIA?. Then they will have their last day off of the season before playing eight games against the division leading Twins, three games against the Indians, and four games against the cellar-dwelling Royals.

Rivals Remaining Schedule. Although in this new era of baseball, no team is able to truly know another team's schedule, we can surmise the following: the Indians will play the powerful Red Sox and Yankees at least 10 more times, the Tigers and Twins will play the Yankees at least five more times, The Tigers and Twins should play each other at least three – five more times. The Twins and White Sox should face off at least four more times, the Tigers and Country should play the Angels and Mariners an equal number of games (since neither has faced you team at all this year) and the Twins have not yet faced the Mariners. With no team able to coast, if the Country keep winning series, and the teams that could beat the Country's intradivision rivals win their series, there is an outside chance that the Country could break into the playoffs.

Notable Pitching: the Country do not have any pictures ranked in the top 10 in any MLB pitching category. On their regular starting staff, Bourgeois has the lowest ERA at 5.23, and Jimenez leads the team with seven wins, while Depablos and Lannan lead the team with seven losses. Chamberlain leads the team with 11 saves and, together with Green, has 18 saves in 31 opportunities.

Notable Offense: Dan Johnson is third in the AL in batting average with 361 (Mauer and Alex Rodriguez are tied for first at 378) and Sanchez is sixth at 353. Chávez, whom the country traded to the White Sox for Hart, has not played a game since the trade, but is still ranked fifth in the AL with a 354 average. Johnson is also third in the AL in hits, and Milledge and Sanchez are also in the top nine for that category. Johnson leads MLB with 34 home runs - 2 homeruns ahead of the Reds Adam Dunn, and six home runs ahead of the next closest AL hitters, Konerko and Rodriguez. Johnson is ninth in MLB for RBIs, putting him second in the AL for that category. Milledge is seventh in MLB (4th in the AL) with 25 stolen bases (and has been caught stealing 11 times, fifth most in MLB), six ahead of the Rays Carl Crawford, the Yankees Johnny Damon, and the Tigers Curtis Granderson, and one behind the Orioles Brian Roberts.

Award candidates? If Johnson is able to win the AL HR title while maintaining a 350+ average, he'll have to be considered a strong candidate for AL MVP, although those awards tend to favor teams who make the playoffs.

Also in July, 2 rookies pushed their averages up past 300 - Erdos (331, 39 RBI) and Huisman (310, 40 RBI). If they continue, and Hart does not fall too far off his torrid pace (460, 11 HRs, 19 RBI), there is potential for a rookie of the year award.

I do! It's easier to read :) Which means I now know that the ICC have less than stellar pitching but fairly good hitting
