Massives Slam Orioles in Baltimore
July 23, 2008- The Massives literally slammed the Orioles today, twice in fact. We are talking about grand slams here. In the 1st, Phillips got it going with an RBI single. In the second, Adams grounded to short with runners on the corners. Melvin Mora threw the ball home, but not fast enough, as Griffin scored and all runners were safe on 1st and 2nd. Kennedy was the next batter, and he singled to load the bases. Gordon came up then, and hit a grand slam to center field, to make the score 6-0. In the 3rd, Adams got an RBI single, followed two batters later by ANOTHER grand slam. Phillips followed up with a solo homer, to make it back-to-back and put the lead at 12-0. The Orioles scored in the 3rd, when Luke Scott hit a 2 RBI double. Kennedy hit an RBI double in the 4th and made it 13-2. Luke Scott struck again with a solo homer in the 6th, and again in the 9th to make it 13-4. Techer was pulled from the game then, and Monarch struck out the side to seal the win. Our next game is on July 31st at home, with Stan Dynamo taking on the Rangers. Until then, see ya!

Yep, he's leading the team in K's, but he doesn't have Dr.K.

AHHHHHH! This has dropped way back to the second page of my posts... update time! To hold you over until then, some fun facts:

Did you know that after the top of the seventh, after Merluzzi reads off; 1 run, 2 hits, no errors, 1 man left on base. Memphis 100, Angels 0. Anyway, after he reads that stuff, the game will play take me out to the ball game for the 7th inning stretch! I never heard it until just now.

The Massives have never been shutout.

Our magic number is 7 as of August 16.

We are 84-0 when we score the first run.

We went 22-2 in July.

Massives Pound League Worst Rangers
July 31, 2008- The Massives pounded the Rangers today, who are a league worst 40-66. Nishikawa brought in Phillips in the 2nd with a sac fly. LaRue followed up with an RBI single. Adams was the next batter, and he hit a ground rule double to center field which scored Griffin. In the 4th, Griffin and LaRue both hit RBI singles and made it 5-0. Kennedy hit a sac fly, still in the 4th, scoring Griffin. The Rangers scored 4 runs off of Dynamo in the 5th, on a Marlon Byrd RBI single, a Michael Young 2 RBI triple, and an Ian Kinsler RBI double making it 6-4. The 5th was a big inning for the Massives as well, with a solo homer by Cruse, another LaRue RBI single, and Adams RBI triple, and a Kennedy RBI single making the score 10-4. That would be the end of the scoring, and the Massives held on to their lead. Rick LaRue had 3 RBI's today, and has been in top form as a batter this season. Our next game is on August 8th, in LA against the Angels. Thomas Carter is starting. Until then, see ya!

Update/Apology: I boosted everything up to Powerful difficulty. :fear: I'm sick of 10-4, 13-4, 8-3 games. Also, I've got a couple games played, but haven't been updating lately due to laziness. I'll have to go to the doctor, or buy the anti-sloth necklace. In all seriousness, I will get updates up on Friday, since I won't be home tomorrow. Sorry for making you guys wait. :(

Massives Knock Off Halos
August 8th, 2008- The Massives beat the Angels handily, in sunny Los Angeles, California. Terry started the scoring for the Massives with a 3 run home run in the top of the 1st. In the 2nd, Gordon got a 2 RBI double, and Terry got another RBI with a single, making it 6-0 after only 2 innings. In the 3rd, the Massives loaded the bases, and Kennedy brought them all in with a 3 RBI double, making the score 9-0. In the 5th, LaRue, and Gordon had RBI's, on a single and then a ground-out by Gordon. Gordon got another RBI, with a single in the 7th. The 7th was the big inning for the Angels, as Matthews Jr. and Anderson had RBI doubles, and Guerrero got an RBI single. That would be all the scoring, and the Massives would go on to win. Our next game is on August 16th, at home against the Angels again. Rich Thrower will take the start for the Massives. Until then, see ya!
