I don't like the concept, but considering how dominating all the pitching's been the last couple years, it's needed to keep most games from being 3-2, 2-1, 2-0, etc.

I haven't heard that Oswalt's struggling in AAA right now. Wow. I thought he'd be up by now, since the only reason why he signed now in the first place is that he wanted to help a team down the stretch.

And he likely will help the team down the stretch, but it's only mid-june. We've got rid of the bad teams (the Padres, Cubs, Twins and such) and now we're at the point where we find out if teams like the Orioles, Indians, Nationals, Mets, and Pirates are for real. He'll be up at the beginning of August at the latest, and that's when they'll really need them. Does that make any sense?
