I've mainly edited players' looks.

In terms of ratings,
I've improved:
Carlos Quentin, Alexei Ramirez, Evan Longoria, John Danks, Jerry Owens (aka Great Floyd)

I've lowered:
Dontrelle Willis, Corey Patterson, Kosuke Fukudome, Derek Jeter, Paul Konerko

yea, i would definitely lower dontrelle willis' rating. i would probably leave everything the same except for his control, which i would lower to about a 5 because he cant find the strike zone for his life this year. it sucks to be a tigers fan this year....

Yup, that's what I edited on him, he's lucky he got that 3 year $27 million extension right away from the tigers. Now, they pay 9 million per year for someone who is in class A working on his mechanics and control. Sucks for them.

i revamped the whole Yankee's roster, but fairly.

Melky Cabrera 'C' throwing strength.... uh no... made that an A (14)
A-Rod's 'D' speed... you kidding? He gets a C (11)
Giambi gets his 'C' power up to 'B'
Jorge Posada had a downgrade from his 'A' power to 'B'
Cano's 'E' throwing strength was made a 'B', he has the best arm for a 2B in the MLB.
Jeter's 'B' power became a 'C'

I also corrected various pitcher's incorrect pitches like Joba's slider became a vertical slider and Hughes curve became a knuckle-curve.

Alex's speed should be F according to this games bogus ratings. No way is A-Rod even half as fast as Ellsbury. I hope you made Jeter's power a low to middle C.

Anyway I'm off to edit some stats.

you know that someone with 6 speed isn't even twice as fast as someone with 1 speed?..... so your post makes no sense. But they missed the boat on A LOT of people's speed and arm strength ratings. Ankiel had 'E' arm strength and Ellsbury had 'C' speed I believe. Also Jermain Dye had a 'D' arm strength.

I was going to lower some Red Sox stats but from what I saw they didn't really overrate anyone except maybe Lugo. I gave Jason Varitek Timely Whiff though and lowered his contact. I was going to lower Manny's stats to B contact and a low A for power. His stats: C contact, B Power :? . They really got a lot of these stats wrong. I remember I lowered Schilling's top speed by about 6. There's no way he's ever throwing 96 anymore.

You have to edit before the season! Stop asking this. Try the 2007 boards!

Actually, C contact is good for a player that hits .300. I went through and looked at a lot of players averages compared to their contact and a lot of the people around .300 average had either 10 or 11 contact.

Here is what their system looks like from studying it...also younger players are given point reductions in this game because they still have time to improve and they haven't fully proved themselves because they've only played a couple years. It also looks like they might look at some career stats or some other season stats to come up with some of these because some people have a number that's way different from last years average.

.350+=15(I'm guessing 14 would be .345-.350 but no one has a 14 contact)
.320-.340=12,13
.290-.320=10,11

I'm not able to get the rest of the stuff right now because on the search it won't let me search the D, or E players because there are too many people and I'll have to go team by team and look for players with those. F, it looks like it's also for unproven players, but I did see David Ross who hit .203 last year, so it may be for people that hit around .200. It looks like G is just given to young players that haven't really played much in the MLB, and the averages I saw on most of them were in the .100's or they didn't have an average from last season.

Also, from what I got last year, D contact was from .265-.289. Not sure if they kept it the same this year but that's what it seemed like last year.

contact also has to do with a player if they are a "slap hitter" or not. EX) Joe Mauer has 'C' contact but hits .340+ in season mode.

Troy Tulowitzki is way to underrated.
He has a cannon from short and plays wonderful defense.
The Game gave him E Arm Str and D Fielding and E Res.
He gets B Arm Str and A Fielding and B E Res.

I don't change attributes, because, like someone else said, it feels like cheating. Although, I do have a problem with the way the developers, when they didn't know a lot about a player or he was new to the major leagues, would just slap a bunch of "F"s or "E"s onto his Control, Stamina, Power, Run Speed, you name it. When they didn't know what to put, they slapped a bunch of E's and F's on his card. It really shows a lot of carelessness.
