Yeah, ties are kind of annoying, but it does prove to make a seriously tense game!

After Horrible 1st, Knights Win Tight Game

Image
Image – Masato Kurihara

Meiji Jingu Stadium, Shinjuku, Tokyo – What a game, it was looking to be a blowout from the very first inning. The Swallows scored a whopping 5 runs in the 1st inning! Against Fujita, no less, who has been one of the best pitchers for the Knights this season.

But, the Knights wouldn’t go down without a fight. They would climb back to win this game by a final score of 9-7. It involved rookie Miyaki getting his first career RBI, along with Fujita getting his first RBI!

Along with Shimozono showing off his ridiculously amazing arm by throwing TWO people out at 1st base! Amazing, isn’t it?! “I’ve been told that I’ve got a good arm, but I never really believed it! I guess its good I was out in right today!” He said after the game.

And indeed it is! He may be taking over right field full time soon. There is a rumor that Egawa and Atori are going to be traded, but to what team, and for who?

Knights Win In a 22 Run Game

Image
Image – Taiga Kura

Nagoya Dome, Nagoya – This was an exciting game, sure was. It involved 7 homeruns, 22 runs, 35 hits, and the rarest play in baseball, a TRIPLE PLAY. A triple play! Darn shame it was against the Knights, but still, it was quite the play. Neither of the starters did particularly well, Yamato letting up 8 runs in 4 1/3 innings, and Shimizu going 3 innings letting up 4 runs. “Not the best performance, I know, but at least we still won.”

But, onto the triple play, which occurred in the top of the 9th, Oda came up to the plate, with Tohno on second, and Shimozono on first. Oda hit a sharp liner to short, which Araki caught centimeters off of the ground, and he threw it to second to get Tohno, then to first for Shimozono, a 6-4-3 TRIPLE PLAY! Amazing!

Fujita Throws A Gem in an Offensive Explosion

Image
Image – Kura and Fujita

Tokyo Dome, Bunkyo, Tokyo – The Knights crushed the Giants in a 14-2 romp. Fujita threw an absolute gem, with his only blunder coming in the bottom of the ninth, with 2 outs. He gave up a homerun to Abe, on a 2-0 pitch. Next pitch, though, he got Sakamoto to fly out to left. “It’s too bad I wasn’t able to get the shutout, but a complete game is still pretty great!” He said after the game.

On the offensive side, Kurihara had an amazing game, going 4-6, with 3 homeruns, and 9 RBIs, NINE! AND a stolen base. Amazing, he is.

Also, this is the Knights 10th win in a row!

Knights’ Streak Ends at 10

Image
Image – Fujita and Hashimoto

Blue Stadium Sakyō-ku, Kyoto – The Knights were obliterated yesterday by rival Samurais, 11-3. And also, along with the humiliation of losing by 8 runs, their win streak ended at 10 games. And of course, it came against the Samurais. “We played very poorly today, as proof from the score; the blame isn’t only on Atori, but the team as a whole.” Manager, Kensou Mori said after the game.

The Knights were done in the first inning, thanks to two 3-run homeruns by Fujita and Shimazaki. They never were able to come back from that, and Atori only lasted 1 more inning, letting up 1 more run too. A poor performance by him, and a very poor performance by the offense as well, accumulating only 8 hits.

Knights Fall To Samurais Once Again

Image
Image – Fujita and Kawabata

Blue Stadium, Sakyō-ku, Kyoto – Once again, the Knights’ offence failed to produce enough runs to beat the surging Samurais. “We just can’t seem to beat my brother’s team,” Manager Kensou Mori said about his brother (Kazumu, the manager of the Samurais) “they seem to be one of the few teams that give us trouble.”

The Knights ended up losing by a final score of 8-2, thanks largely in part to Fujita and Suzuki who both had 3-run homeruns in the game. Fujita is batting a stellar .401, leading the Central League by a long shot.

Also, Terauchi will be out for 3 days with some ankle soreness.

Well, turns out that the Dragons declined my trade offer for Yoshimi...

I still need to trade Egawa, and need a starter... What to do... What to do...
