How are your sports?

This is kind of like forum member updates, just stick on the sports topic. I like to hear how you guys are doing, so I created this.

I'll start. We just beat a team 63-0 in basketball. Yep, you read that right. Not a typo. We're 6-1 on the season, only loss was by 2 points in OT.

Must've been a bad team.

Our varsity football team only had one win on the season. 1-9. Ugh. At least basketball season starts soon, see if our girl's team can make it back to the state finals, like they did last year!

Basketball started a while back.

Our varsity football team won the league championship 30-20.

I'm on the "combined" team (at our school, it's no cut so you get put on 7th or 8th grade, or combined team which has the leftovers of both grades) in basketball. Haven't played a game yet.

I made the 9th Grade team at my high school, we have out first game tomorrow afternoon. Our Varsity football went 5-6, just missing the playoffs by a single win. Our field hockey team were runners up in the state.

Its funny being on the team "last on the totem pole for court time" in our coaches words. We have almost no rights compared to the other teams, JV even treats us as the evil stepson of the program. :lol:

Maybe I'm exaggerating, but it is funny.

I somehow made the B team for my CYO team. They give seniority to the eighth graders. I'm not trying to sound like a jerk or anything, but I'm better than the two seventh graders that made A. Haven't played a game yet.

I got cut from freshman basketball, just practicing baseball some and relaxing at the moment. I pretty much got cut because a new kid at our school has exactly the same skills as me but is four inches taller...

Our basketball team is 0-3
Our Golf team lost every match
Our soccer team was 2-7
Our Baseball team lost all six games by mercy rule
And our football team doesnt exist!

Probably because you're 13 and a Sophomore(?), and I'm assuming all the others in your high school are the same, and you're playing against normal aged high schoolers, I presume.

Our HS football team got second in our division(smallest schools).

Our girl's basketball team won it's season opener 45-12 tonight! I hope we can make it to the state finals like we did last year.

Our boys' basketball team won its first game 68-38 and I got to see it for free 'cause I'm in Pep Band. :wink:

DP, but we lost our basketball game by 6. It was close. Best moment of the game for me, Was when we were down 18-15, and we were on a run, and they had just scored to go up by 3. A kid dribbles in the lane, and I run into the corner. He passes it out, and I shoot the open 3 and drain it to tie the game.

I had 13 points, final score was 45-39.

We lost our first basketball game 36-6 (I think).

I had 1 rebound, 1 turnover, and missed a hook shot. I also caused 1 turnover.

Our girl's varsity won again, our boy's varsity lost (we only had 3 wins, 4 if you include a win against the teachers, last year).
