I'm thinking Great Bautista on the White Sox is Adam Russell, as Bautista has no experience and Russell made his debut this year, whereas Broadway debuted last year.

OK, I think I found a match for Great Lopez. It's Jeff Natale. He's born in 1982, bats and throws right-handed and plays first base. It matches the Great exactly.

Fernando Nieve has ML experience (played with the 'stros in '06).

I'm thinking the Astros' Great Romero is Paul Estrada. Great Moore could easily be Reineke. He doesn't have any big league experience, and the birth year matches.

Great Ross on the Cubs. None of the guys it should be (Sam Fuld, Micah Hoffpauir, or Jake Fox) are exact matches. The b/t for Ross (r) is wrong for lefties Fuld and Hoffpauir; the birthdate (1981) is wrong for Hoffpauir (1980) and Fox (1982). According to Baseball Reference, Fuld played primarily RF in his call up (6 games in right, 1 each in center and left), Hoffpauir and Fox are outfielders, but didn't play RF with the Cubs (Hoffpauir played LF, Fox 1B).

All that to say, since you can't change birthdates or experience, the simpliest remedy seems to be Ross as Fuld, and just make him left handed.

A Great Romero(?) beat me out for rookie of the month in my life mode. Why are they rookies when really they are longtime veterans?

The "Greats" have experience if the player they're representing does. Great Romero is a rookie because Paul Estrada is (or will be once he's called up).

No, the Greats have the years of service the player they represent has. It's one of the main ways we can figure out who they are. That, and the birthyear.

I think Kyle Davies was in the last game. Why did they make him a great?

Look at their birth years, that should tell you who is who.
