SP - Alex Rivers
C/3B (If you want another one) - Jordan Thorner

I also have Shuichi Murata (Power-hitting 3B) and Kaz Murata (Average RF) that I could post if you want them.

I've tried Alex Rivers but the password didn't work.

That C/3B is way too good to be a backup.

You could post the average RF, if he's bad enough and we can both get the password right I'll use him.

Also, why would I want to just copy another team? Not to mention nobody there really even fits.

come on, at least have Marty Stone.

also, either Ryan Evert or Enrico Santiago would be a great choice for the RF role.

Try this guy. He's young fast with a decent bat and poor fielding

I have edited the team, added Ryan Evert and William Hunter.

Also added plea for the creation of Kevin Parker.

Ok, I know I'm bumping all of these a lot, but this is actually a more important update than adding players onto the roster who haven't been posted yet. I have decided, that I will start the season log for this team as soon as Kevin Parker is done by anybody (so... probably never.), I can just fill the holes in the roster with the terrible generic players that the game generates without first names (I mean, I was after terrible players anyway).

So, for my log, I will be accepting suggestions about anything to do with the team: name, location, colors, league, etc...

Try this guy as your #4 or #5 starter. He's not Parker, but he's extremely adequate and is much better than the generic crap that the game creates.

Also, since you need an average relief pitcher, how about this guy? Sorry about the giant pictures, though.

Post subject:  Re: The (insert team city here) (insert team name here)

I think those pitchers are both too good to be pitchers on the team, I'm trying for a lower payroll, at least until I find out whether the team can consistently perform well and earn their pay.

I can see how you could think that starter would fit in at #4, but the first three starters are already too far above average, so for 4 and 5 I would want terrible players with decent stamina, or just fill them with almost free, generic players.

As for the reliever, his stamina is a bit high, his top speed is okay, but would be preferred lower, but what really made him stand out from this team was the breaking pitches, a level 5, two level twos, and two level ones, one an original, he's just too good and would probably be high priced for the usage he would get.

I'm curious now though, is there a way to get players from your success mode onto the other expansion team? Because I'd say there's about enough above average, but not ridiculously perfect, players around to make the other team win a few games too. If this is possible, I may use some of the suggested players on their team, or just upload them, dump them in the free agent pool, and see who winds up getting signed where.

Here's a couple of pitchers that might fit in the 4th/5th starter role:

http://www.mlbppworld.com/wiki/index.php?title=Jamal_King_2008

Three interesting relief pitchers:

http://www.mlbppworld.com/wiki/index.php?title=Carlos_Sanhueza
http://www.mlbppworld.com/wiki/index.php?title=F._Hernandez

Some decent bench players (just pick the ones you like):

http://www.mlbppworld.com/wiki/index.php?title=Chomei_Matsubara (SS/INF)
http://www.mlbppworld.com/wiki/index.php?title=Manuel_Vargas (SS/INF)
http://www.mlbppworld.com/wiki/index.php?title=Dusty_Boyd_2008 (C)

Plenty of options here:

Just some ideas you could use for your team

If I'm in the AL, I might use Chris Carter, but everyone (including him) is better than I would like them to be.

Really, I'm fine if I ever get my most important player, I really don't need anyone else.

I think Jamal King would make a decent 4th starter. Fernandez Hernandez and Lance Niekro would make decent, realistic relievers. And for the backup catcher, John Baker or Doug Mirabelli would make sense. Joakim Mercado would make a great backup OF.

A few of those players could fit just fine, not that it really matters at the moment.
