World Series Game One

Scranton won today in what looked to be a slugfest, but all scoring ceased after the fourth inning. It was a good matchup today, Paul McCartney vs Andy Pettite.

Paul did not get off to a good start today. Johnny Damon singled, Bobby Abreu singled, and A-Rod singled to make it 1-0. The Stranglers took the lead in the bottom of the inning. Ringo Starr singled, and Kennedy hit the first home run of the World Series. 2-1.

In the bottom of the second, John Lennon singled. Two batters later, Harrison singled and Lennon got to third. Paul lsid down a perfect suicide squeeze bunt and Lennon scored making it 3-1. Pablo Sanchez doubled to drive home Harrison making it 4-1.

Johnny Damon got it started again in the third with a triple. Jeter singled and Damon could have rode a tortoise to the plate to make it 4-2. Bobby Abreu then hit the tying home run.

In the bottom of the inning Kennedy led off with a single. Jagger doubled as Kennedy crossed the plate to take the lead.

In the bottom of the fourth Harrison led off with a single and Starr got a two out, RBI triple. It was 6-4.

The game was pretty much over after that. Both pitchers found their way after a very rocky start and shut things down. The Stranglers had many oppritunities wasted by baserunning errors. Both pitchers got complete games.

Player Update

After the high fives and post game interviews, the guys were still in the dugout.

Paul: Who's that old guy talking to George Steinbrenner?

Mick: Isn't it funny that most of the players know the Yankees' owner, but not our owner?

Pablo: Wait. That's our owner?

Mick: You catch on fast.

Chris: I was picturing him to be more tall and powerful.

Mick: Not everybody is a 6'7 giant who swings a tree trunk.

Jack Swaggert: *rofls*

Mick: Finally someone understands my humor.

John: Enough of this! Let's go meet him.

Mick: You guys go ahead. I've had enough of that jerk.

Mr. Goldman in a low voice so the players couldn't hear: Alright George. You have one year- ONE YEAR- to sell me the Yankees.

Steinbrenner: You have no evidence. You'll never get the Yankees.

Goldman: Ah, but I will. I know your in debt. I know all of your tricks. You'll crack. Aand when you do-

Paul: Hey boss. Don't you know not to talk to the enemy.

Goldman: What do you want?

John: Well you are our owner. And we haven't met you yet.

Goldman: I've met that british kid.

Reggie McLeary: You mean me? We talked on the phone and you hung up on me. Very professionnal.

Sgt. Pepper: 100 PUSH UPS NOW!

Goldman: And I met the blue haired, mush mouthed kid, and the indian guy with sideburns.

Ringo: Hey! You've met the foriegners, but not us americans?
George: Yeah! What do you have against America?

Goldman: Anything I'm not in charge of sucks!

Keith: Changing topics, Why did George look so nervous?

Chris: I'll answer that one. Because we're gonna beat them!

Everyone: YEAH!

Goldman: Oh we're going to beat them, but not because of you. We'll win because of ME! Haw haw haw.

Keith: What? Do you have a spy on the Yankees?

Everyone laughed.

Goldman: I'd watch it if I were you. Missing an entire month due to injury. Disgusting! Now back to practice! I'm not paying you to do nothing.

Reginald: Sir, you're not paying us much at all.

Pepper: 50 MORE PUSHUPS SOLDIER!

Yankees Dominate; Win 7-2

Today was 99% Yankees, 1% Stranglers. Maybe less. A very frustrating loss. Phillip Hughes shut the Stranglers down. Raul Gaddaba did the exact opposite.
Johnny Damon and Derek Jeter both reached on Baltimore Chops. A very frustrating start. Bobby Abreu laid down a sacrifice bunt. A-Fraud grounded into a double play to end the threat.

If you thought it was over then, you're wrong. Cano reached on a Ryan Howard error. Posada singled. Hughes bunted for a base hit. Don't ask me how that happened. Damon got a bases clearing double making it 3-0.

In the second inning the Stranglers got something going. First Mick Jagger singled. John Lennon doubled, but Jagger could not score. And the Stranglers wasted one of the few oppritunities they got tonight.

In the third A-Rod got a triple that just missed the lucky pocket.
Nothing happened until the fifth. Sgt. Pepper figured Gaddaba wasn't going anywhere today and Gaddaba was tired so McLeary came off the bench for him. McLeary came through this time with a single. Starr also singled. Kennedy got McLeary home with a single, but Starr, even with his A run speed, was thrown out by Bobby Abreu at the plate.

In the sixth Posada and Hughes both got on. Again don't ask me how Hughes, an American league rookie pitcher, got two hits today. Two batters later, Jeter got Posada home (who basically waddes around the bases, he's so slow) managed to score because of Richards' throwing arm that would probably make him a number three starter in a slow pitch softball league. It was 4-1.

In the bottom of the inning Mick Jagger (who looked to be the only bright spot in Scranton's lineup) made it 4-2 hit a 488 ft. BOMB to left. And people were just starting to complain about his power (or lack thereof) in the postseason.

You were thinking "Hey we're still in it guys, we can come back!" weren't you? Again you would be wrong. A-Rod blasts off with a solo shot off of Brian Jones. Pepper made a pitching change and brought Seanez in. The first pitch was a bomb to Jason Giambi. Delayed back-to-back home runs.

Giambi wasn't done yet. With all of Scranton, Pennsylvania begging on their knees for mercy, Juicein, I mean Jason, Giambi said, "Nah, 6-2 isn't enough", and blasted off again.
That was your final score folks, like it or not.

Sgt Pepper: **** WE PLAYED LIKE S@%*! WE WERE AWFUL! YOU BETTER BELIEVE I'M GOING TO WORK OUT THOSE ******* **** LITTLE MORONS SO HARD THEY'LL BE RUNNIN' HOME TO THEIR MOMMAS! I'M GOING TO WORK THEM OUT, OR MY NAME ISN'T SGT. M***** F****** PEPPER!

Busride to New York

They were all frustrated. It was incredibly hot for October in the Northeast at 90º. They were all cramped, they had come off a tough loss. Would you want to be in that situation?

John: For the love of God! Can't we get an air conditioned bus?!
Keith: I don't know if you've noticed, but William Goldman is our owner.

John: You know I probably haven't noticed because we met him two days ago!

Richards: Oh! I forgot your brain can't hold much more than the necessities.

The two had to be seperated.

Pablo was sitting next to Brian. Brian was singing along to Justin Bieber "One Less Lonely Girl"

Pablo: Justin Bieber is for 12 year old girls, and bearded women. Oh wait. You would fit right in with those bearded women.

Brian: What did you say? I can't understand your horribly fake accent.

Pablo: You've blown more games for us than Brad Lidge did foir the Phillies in 2008.

Brian: Shows what you know! Lidge was perfect in 2008!

Pablo: I meant 2009!

Brian: You've been caught stealing more than Richards has! Can you spell OVERRATED?

Pablo: Eres tonto, con barba, sudoración, cerdo!

Brian: Estúpido, exagerado, enano, communista!

They also had to be seperated by agent Brewers Fuzz. Let's just say Fuzz came out between those two looking like he was Daniel in the lion's den.

Things reached a climax soon after.

Chris was playing harmonica. Loudly and very badly.

Sgt. Pepper: Will you shut up? No, let me rephrase that, SHUT UP OR I'LL SHOVE THAT DAMN THING UP YOUR @**!

Kennedy couldn't here him over the arguing: What did he say?

Mick being the sarcastic one on the team: He told you to play louder.

Chris: Oh. Okay. *plays so loud the bus driver's glasses break*

Sgt. Pepper: What did I tell you?
He took the harmonica, snapped it in half, and threw it aside. The catch was it hit McCartney and McCartney, being the drama queen on the team, yelped in pain and fell to the floor.

McCartney: Owwww! I don't think I can get up.

Bus driver: Jud Poche: We're here, and there's a mob of New York media out there.

Sgt. Pepper: *mutters something foul under his breath*

Kennedy: I paid five dollars for that thing. That's a week's worth of allowance. I expect five dollars CASH, not check, in my locker after practice.

Sgt. Pepper: Who the hell would pay five dollars in a check?

Kennedy: Brian would.

Pepper: Get out of my sight. I'm having a rough day.

*Kennedy flees*

So. Will Scranton be able to pull together, or will they fall apart just like their critics have been saying?
Find out, same awesome time, same awesome season log, same awesome forum! :D

Azul is glad that he slept the whole ride back.

Sgt. Pepper has not been allowed to comment, on account of the foul language he has been using as of late.

Yes. There are a lot of key players left if you would like to be an agent. I'll edit the player list into this post.

I was planning to write him out in year three. He would be more of a recurring character if it's okay with you.
