You create your own, and I called it Panpaka Field, homage to Panpaka Park in Power Pros.

I like it! Also I'm glad that your Backyard Baseball log isn't totally dead.

It is for now... there's only a couple games left to go and it would be a complete waste not to finish it.

Anyways, I'm about to start Game 1 Against the Broncos. Update as soon as I finish and decide on a format.

Knights Upset Broncos
Nevada Knights - 27
Denver Broncos - 24

Right of the bat, the Nevada Nights looked to be completely out of it, giving up an 83-yard touchdown on just the second play of the game and going down 17-0 by the end of the 1st quarter, but a late touchdown pass from Colin Kaepernick to Kevin Faulk brought it back to 17-10, and the Knights were on the attack. Not slowing down at the start of the second half, Clinton Portis pounded one in from the goal line to tie it at 17.

After yet another long touchdown pass by the Broncos, the Knights matched them with a 73 yard pass to tight end Chris Baker. The game went into the 4th quarter tied at 24. Defense prevailed towards the end, providing punt after punt, until a field goal by John Carney with 2:23 left put the Knights ahead.

And that was all she wrote.

Head Coach Rashawn Williams had this to say after the game:
"I'm incredibly proud of the boys for the way they played today. They didn't give up, which is something they easily could've done, this being their first game and all. I think it's clear that this team has a very good balance of youth and veteran leadership, with guys like Kevin Faulk and rookie Colin Kaepernick leading the offense. I'm really excited about the rest of the season, but we've got to take this one game at a time."

The Knights play the Buffalo Bills away next week.

Very nice. Just detailed enough, without giving a complete play-by-play of everything. Way to get off to a good start.

Knights Win Again
Nevada Knights(2-0) - 21
Buffalo Bills(0-2) - 9

In somewhat of a less shocking game, the Nevada Knights prevailed over the Buffalo Bills, 21-9. The most the Knights were down by was 6, at the end of the first quarter and for most of the second, but after that it was all Knights, scoring a touchdown in each of the remaining quarters and allowing just one field goal towards the end of the fourth. Colin Kaepernick was fantastic, and his 127.9 passer rating leads league, a fantastic feat for a rookie, and his 69% completion percentage is second behind only Peyton Manning.

After the game, we caught up with GM Tom McAllister
"I'm extremely happy with the defense. Just 227 yards of total offense allowed and two picks? Wow. And Clinton Portis and Kevin Faulk are looking like a lethal two-back duo, while Colin Kaepernick is proving himself as a real up-and-coming star. I'm thrilled about their play in these first two weeks, they're already looking like a playoff-caliber team."

The Knights home opener is next week against the Jets, which will certainly prove to be their toughest match-up yet.

Statistics
Passing
C. Kaepernick - 19-24, 198 yards, 3 TD, 140.6 passer rating

Rushing
K. Faulk - 11 attempts, 77 yards
C. Portis - 12 attempts, 64 yards, fumble
C. Kaepernick - 2 attempts, 22 yards, fumble

Receiving
D. Lee - 5 receptions, 76 yards, TD
D. Stallworth - 3 receptions, 43 yards
T. Houshmandzadeh - 3 receptions, 35 yards
J. Galloway - 3 reception, 35 yards, TD
C. Baker - 1 reception, 6 yards, TD
M. Karney - 3 receptions, 3 yards
C. Portis - 1 reception

Reality Check
New York Jets(3-0) - 20
Nevada Knights(2-1) - 10

After shocking the sports universe and starting 2-0, the Nevada Knights lost their home opener 20-10 to the New York Jets. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick had just a 64.4 passer rating after throwing his first interception of the season, and running back Kevin Faulk averaged just 2.6 yards per carry on the day. Ouch.

The first quarter went by without a score, and the Knights took the lead on a 17 yard field goal 30 seconds into the second. The Jets answered with a long drive down the field for a touchdown, and we went into halftime with a score of 7-3. The only scoring the third was a field goal by Nick Folk, and ten more points in the 4th quarter put the game out of reach, despite a late touchdown pass to DeAndre Brown.

In this writer's opinion, the final score of this game makes it seem it was a lot closer than it really was.
______________________________________

We spoke with rookie quarterback Colin Kaepernick after the game:
"Yeah, I got sacked a few times early, and I really think I let it get to my head. I started forcing passes, running with the ball when it wasn't necessary. I really should've done a better job making decisions out there. It really wasn't a very good game for me, and I let my teammates down. I plan on doing much better next week."

The Knights are at home again next week against the New England Patriots, which will most certainly prove to be yet another tough game.

Statistics
Passing
C. Kaepernick - 18-34, 169 yards, TD, INT
K. Faulk - 0-1

Rushing
C. Portis - 10 attempts, 45 yards
C. Kaepernick - 4 attempts, 19 yards
K. Faulk - 6 attempts, 16 yards

Receiving
J. Galloway - 2 receptions, 38 yards
T. Houshmandzadeh - 5 receptions, 38 yards
D. Lee - 2 receptions, 34 yards
D. Stallworth - 4 receptions, 32 yards
D. Brown - 1 reception, 26 yards, TD
C. Baker - 2 receptions, 5 yards
C. Portis - 1 reception, 2 yards
K. Faulk - 1 reception, -6 yards
