I worked for Jaw several times but only got 2 surprise bags.
Maybe with enough reloading you could get more.

There is one event where Jaw asks you to look for a ring. When you find it, you receive a Tourmaline ring and of course the money.

After working for him a few times, later in the game I went back and did the standard "find the dog" routine and when I succeeded, I received the "Fire Arch". I didn't reload, but maybe you could get different bats.

Yah it changes what you get from the girl sometimes powerins, bats or gloves, and suprise bags

I've been working for Jaw, and gotten two surprise bags. I heard you could get a gambler's ring from one of them, so that's what I'm aiming for.

If you don't find something in the first week how do you look for it again?

Edit: Nevermind, I found the dog right away, I really needed the suprise bag to get the gamblers ring ecause I'm making David price and he's pretty good and since I fell short on stamina on my last character this is one sure fire way to get it.

The Book of Pitching and Book of Batting (I think that's the names) are also really good. You get rare abilities with them. My pitcher got Lucky (Somehow you end up winning games), Morale(?) which boosts the team , and one other one which I forget. I haven't seen any storyline give Lucky and Morale yet.

FYI, with Lucky I have yet to lose a tie game with the exception of the very last game of Success Mode.

You mean good morale? I got that one when I agreed to help Tom build a pitching machine I think.

gd morale i think is from the 1st event with Tom?,the catcher in AA, if you help him

I got lucky from the stone buying event where i was the 10,000 customer and got it for free.

The books are secrets of pitching/hitting/defense, and legends of baseball

Yeah, that's when I usually get it.
