You can check it out if you want, it's my more popular My Life log.

Frankly I can't see why, it doesn't seem that great to me and it's kind of a pain to play.

Continuing on from last time...

Rev was drafted to the Crushers, one of the six teams in the league. When the season started, it was apparent that Rev was better than the other kids in every category (except running). Even though he was only in T-ball, it was an early sign he was not to be messed with. He played first base most of the time, alternating with shortstop and third base. He batted 3rd, the spot reserved for the best hitter on the team. He would constantly ask his coach to throw the ball to him instead of him hitting it off of a tee throughout the season. He always said the two words people never want to hear: No.

He and his team played the regular season being undefeated. They would also win the championship game, Rev smiling with that big, shiny trophy in his hands. This was just a glimpse of what was to come.

As he aged, he became better and better. He would continue to dominate all of the players in his league year after year after year. Almost every team that he was on won the championship. They only missed a championship once, when Rev had to sit out a couple of games when his grandmother passed away at the age of 93.

By the time that Rev was 7, his parents had decided to have another child. They had now moved out of their apartment in the suburbs, into a nice two story house in a quiet, gentle city near downtown Pittsburgh. After the move, it was official. 9 months, later a baby girl Jasmine was born. She had her own room upstairs right next to Rev (which took a lot of protesting and sleepless nights.).

Skip ahead about a 11 years. Rev is now in his final year of college at the age of 18 (may be off on age). He is enjoying every bit that life has to offer him. He is still dominating in baseball, leading his college team with .381 BA, 26 HR, and 121 RBI's. He has a a wonderful girlfriend by the name of Emma, who he is later planning on marrying when the time would come. His family is now in great shape. He now has an 11 year old sister, named Ky, and a 9 year old baby brother, named Justin, that was born two years and a day after his sister. The family is officially in a great financial state, making a great income. His father has now expanded the coffee shop as a franchise, currently running four. His mother is now working as the manager of the Bank of America.

On the last game of Rev's final college game, a stranger pulled him aside and asked him a few questions.

Stranger: "Excuse me Mr. Davis, can you come with me? I want to ask you a few questions."

Rev: "Okay, sure."

The stranger pulls Rev aside near a snack bar.

Rev: "What do you want to know?"

Stranger: "I'm going to be honest with you now. I'm not just a random fan looking for an autograph. I'm a scout for the Pittsburgh Pirates. This year we are going to be the number one draft pickers and we are wondering if you are going to be interested in joining our organization."

Rev: "Are you serious?!?!"

Scout: "Absolutely. If you choose to sign with us after we draft you, there will be a thousand dollar signing bonus."

Rev just stood there, gazing into the scout's eyes. He was dumbfounded. He managed to say one little sentence.

Rev: "Yes I would be willing to sign! Thank you for the opportunity. And maybe when the times comes, I'll be playing with the big boys!"

Just like the big guys, he thought. Just like them

Unless he is a genius, you may want to make him 21, if it's his last year of college. He would be 18 in his last year of high school, though.

Just as a blast of good news hit Rev like a train, another train came right back and hit him with and extra serving of bad. Rev's girlfriend Emma, had left him. She wasn't dumping him though. They would still plan on getting married, but Emma had decided that she was going to go threw another 4 years of college to try and become a lawyer. He first go the news after Rev told her about what the scout had said. It was more shocking than the contract. Rev told her that he would never give up on her, and never marry until he found her again.

6 months later...

Draft Day 2008*

Rev and all members of his family had gathered at his parents 2 story house. They had prepped the house with a Pittsburgh Pirates theme, black and yellow balloons, pirates style cupcakes, anything that you could think of. Before the draft started at one o' clock, all of his family members had started to show. When the clock struck one, they were ready to go crazy. They all crowded inside the living room, eagerly waiting for those special words. Bud Selig stranded at his post, after receiving the Pirates word on their draft choice.

Bud: "With the first selection in the first round of the 2008 first year player draft, the Pittsburgh Pirates select Rev Davis catcher."

The second those words came out of Bud's mouth, the whole family started screaming. They were jumping up and down, kissing and hugging Rev as he was overjoyed. He was ready for the challenge.

*The Tampa Bay Rays were actually the first drafters, the Pirates chose second. The Pirates drafted Pedro Alvarez.

The day was finally here. Spring Training. For the next month, he would meet the big leagues and the believers. The down and out with the up and in. Everybody here has a chance, an opportunity to make a name for themselves and try to become a big leaguer. And now, it was Rev's chance. Before the first games, everybody met at the Pirates clubhouse. The coaches gave their introductions, their expectations. Another intresting thing is that he met his old friend Oakley. He wasn't exactly the best player in the world, but managed to make it up to the big leagues. He still had that cocky attitude, but that was Oakley. Never looked down, but up.

After the second practice, Mia, a sportscaster interviewed Rev. She got mixed up with the players, thinking that Rev was a pitcher and asked him if he expected to lead the league in wins this season. She apologized after getting a cut from Oakley while giving off a hint that she was into Rev.

After the third game of spring training, Rev's coach announced to him that Rev's $500 per Home Run donation was turned into $5000. He apologized. Rev gave the annoyed look you give when you pinch your nose and sigh.

Basic information on Rev:
DOB: October 31st, 1988
Age: 19 (don't tell me about it)
Uniform Number: 7
Position: C
Relationship status: Single (still looking for Emma)
Salary: 390000
Race: Filipino

Skills:
2 TRJ
10 CON
125 PWR
10 RUN SPD
8 ARM STR
9 FLD
10 E ERS

Special Abilities
Contact Hitter
Hot Hitter
Firstball HTR
Consistency 2

Difficulty: Normal

Games:
Rev showed good signs in the early season. He batted pretty good, while swiping a few bags. He is getting the nod for the Regular Season

Final Spring Training Stats:
BA: 538, 1 HR, 4 RBI, 2 SB, 1 K, 0 BB

Author's Note: Now that Rev is ready to become a big leaguer, how do you think he will do? Leave your comments!

Rev was finally on his way. He and the team was on their way to Atlanta for their first series of the season. But for Rev, this was so much more. This was the beginning of the rest of his life. The team landed at about 1:00 PM the day before the game. Rev couldn't wait.

Rev wasn't going to start the first game he played, especially as a 19 year old. This was expected. But what wasn't expected was him going up to home plate in the top of the eighth inning and hitting for the first time in his career. When Rev walked up to the plate, he took his sweet time. He wanted to savor the moment. Eventually the ump told him to hurry it up. He stepped in the box. Got his stance. On the third pitch, he hit a line drive up the middle for his first major league hit. They gave him the ball after the game, but Rev wasn't done just yet. The next batter got into a ground out, but Rev was running so he slid into second. On the first pitch delivered to the next batter, he swiped third with ease. This was just the beginning.

Highlights of April:
Came in to score game winning run after Jack Wilson single with 2 outs (away)
1st game starting (in LF) vs Florida. 1-3
1st Homer vs LA (2 runner)
Walkoff hit vs Florida (home)
9 game hitting streak

Stats of April:
.563 BA, 27 hits, 5 2B, 1 HR, 4 RBI, 9 R, 1 BB, 17 SB (leads MLB)

Sadly, the Pittsburgh Pirates have not played up the the level of Rev. They are currently in last place in the Central with a 13-15 record (can you believe that?)

Authors Note: How'd you think of his play? Do you think the Pirates can rally back? Leave your comments!

Stupid stupid coaches. First if I start he takes me out after 2 AB's and he makes me play left where I make errors. Jason Bay plays left! Im also better than Ronnie Paulino so in retrospect WTF!
