Game 6, in St.Louis, the Cardinals have a 3-2 series lead and win it all in front of their fans. Pujols has really made a name for himself on this team as he picked up his second straight World Series MVP Award in this Cardinals repeat.

(I really let my creativity run wild in the World Series picture this year, am I right?)

(On another note, I predicted the winner and MVP before the end of game 1)

Contract Renewal:
The Reapers have (barely) managed to resign all their players.

Notable Contracts:

Sergio Mitre signed to a 2500 contract for 2 years.
"He's a good pitcher, but he is overshadowed by the fact that the rest of our team's pitching is amazing, if he doesn't perform well, I may trade for some more hitting."

Zach Duke signed to a 10000 point contract for 1 year, a raise from his previous 2500.
"It really is a huge pay raise, but if you look at some of the other guys that regularly bring awards to their teams, his salary isn't too bad. I mean, he has had a legendary season before this, a 2.30 ERA and 19 wins, it's a lot of money, but no one deserves it more than him."

Fireballer signed for 850 for 1 year.
"I'd be willing to pay more, but he wasn't willing to sign a long term contract, so we settled on 850."

Minges signed for 800 for 1 year.
"Considering his Rookie of the Year performance, I was glad to sign at this price."

Ralph Siegmund signed for 4000 for 1 year.
"As with some of our other stars, I wanted to sign him to a longer contract. We decided 4000 is good if it's only for a year."

Dustin Pedroia signed for 2500 for 1 year.
"He was one of our better hitters last year, I agreed a pay raise was in order."

Shannon Stewart signed for 450 for 5 years.
"Although his abilities are declining (an out of character note, I didn't realize his abilities were declining until after he signed), we believe he should still be suitable in a pinch hitter role, he'll probably retire at his contract's end, if we need to release him before then, the penalty won't be too severe."

Corey Hart signed for 430 for 1 year.
"This is a fairly low salary for an everyday position player, but given his performance last year, his average anyway, admittedly his home run total wasn't bad, this is a fair price."

"Our team salary is at a much higher point than it has ever been, but we can still turn a profit off of our games, and if we can make it to another playoff round we'll make even more. You have to spend money to make money, and that's why I believe we should still sign some free agents."

"After looking at that free agent list, I really don't know if I will sign anyone this year. A lot of these guys are old and washed up, yet demanding the same high salaries they would make in their prime. My team was good enough to make the playoffs with an amazing season, with proper training who can guarantee they can't go all the way? If we spend much more on the salary cap we won't be able to afford any good training. Honestly, none of those players seem like they would be worth the money to add to the team. As always, I have time and I will allow the fans to have their say. If they present a good case I may reconsider, I just wasn't going to sign anyone because I can't think of a good case for any of them."

I think it's just 3 outfielders for any positions, not one for each position.

For example, last year three CFs won it in the NL (Bourn, Victorino, CarGo (technically)).
In 2009, Matt Kemp, Bourn, and Victorino, all CFs, won it.

And I don't think Crawford has played a game in RF in his major league career, so I'm not sure he's eligible there.

Who's your SS or DH? I'd try and get Jose (JOSE JOSE JOSE JOSE!) or Mauer. You could put Siegmund or Mauer at DH if you feel like spending that much.

Peavy is still young, at 29, so there's no worry about him beginning to decline no matter what contract length I got him, but he requests around 8500, which would be one of the highest salaries on the team, and his ERA last year was 4.01, which would really not be too good compared to a lot of the pitchers on the team.

Mauer requests a bit over 7000 and isn't better than my current catcher except he had a slightly better batting average last season. His RBI and home run totals are so low he must have missed some time with an injury last season, or something.

Jose Reyes is one of the players I might actually want, his skill set is pretty balanced all around, he's young, has a few abilities, and requests under 6000. I think if I do any kind of player signing I'll have to teach some positions in spring training to try to fit them in, even with that, I don't really have any openings. I have Youkilis at DH, Jack Wilson at SS, Robbins is one of the weaker looking players but he's had some great seasons, C.Hart is one of the stronger looking players but he's coming off a terrible season.

I also looked at Pena, he's cheap (around 1200) and coming off a good year, but I don't really think it would be realistic to expect him to perform that well again.

I don't want to make long term plans at right field, which is really one of my weaker points as far as performance goes (by abilities the player has almost B contact and has A power). If Corey Hart underperforms again or asks for too high a salary I have a 5 star potential draft pick who can play the position and maybe nail a Rookie of the Year Award while he's at it.

If I sign too many players I suppose I can run some trade offers around to try to improve certain areas. But virtually any player I can get that's any significant improvement would have a salary through the roof (many are well over 10000).

This is a trial segment for the log, the reason I've never thought of adding it before is because I never know if I'll keep what happened in the F/A or start over and try something else. This will pretty much just include whatever I remember being signed, unless there's a way I don't know about that you can look back at the F/A signings. With that said.

Notable Free Agent Signings:
The Yankees sign Joe Mauer and Derrek Lee.
Angels sign Cuddyer and Lilly.
After some time with the White Sox, Peavy has signed back with the Padres.
Griffey Jr. signs with Giants.

Reapers free agent signings:
Jose Reyes, 6000 points, 5 years
Maicer Izturis, 600 points, 3 years

"Izturis is a pretty well rounded player who can work as a substitute whether it's for running, hitting, or fielding. I haven't completely decided what to do with Jose Reyes yet, but I'm not the only one signing players at positions I already have, the Yankees still have Posada and they signed Mauer. I'm sure we can both somehow make it work out."

Reapers series of trades gives team great hopes for the coming season:

Trade 1:

Mets Get:
Josh Beckett
McDade

Reapers get:
Carlos Beltran
Johan Santana
David Wright

Trade 2:

Mariners get:
Carlos Beltran

Reapers get:
Brandon Webb

Trade 3:

Phillies get:
Jack Wilson
Johan Santana

Reapers get:
Dan Haren

Trade 4:

Athletics get:
Sean Casey
Shannon Stewart

Reapers get:
Jack Cust
Wily Mo Pena

Points were traded to the Reapers in all trades.

In this series of trades they kept the team salary under 70000 points, made about 20000 points in cash, brought a current legend to the team in David Wright, got rid of all their declining players and those who couldn't fit in anywhere and were to good to be backup players. In addition to that, they got Dan Haren and Brandon Webb for their already great pitching staff. The only player they got rid of that they actually wanted was Josh Beckett, but Haren and Webb combined are about the same salary and are also pretty good.

"The Reapers will be almost unrecognizable next season, maybe it's for the best, something about the old team wasn't really clicking right. All I know is I want a World Series Championship and I want one now. I suppose I'll settle for sometime late in October, but if we don't make the ALCS this year, that's when I'll get mad."
