Image VS ImageGame 1 in New York, the Orioles had Franklin Morales on the mound going against Chien Ming Wang, Nick Markakis hit a 3 run homer in the third, but A-Rod hit a grand Slam (again) Morales pitched 5 innings, Wang pitched 6, but gave up another solo homer to Kenji Johjima to tie the game, then in the 8th Nick Markakis hit a solo shot off Joba Chamberlain to give the Orioles the lead, Fernando Cabrera got the save and Andrew Junge, yes Brewers, got the win out of the bullpen.

Win: Junge (1)
Loss: Chamberlain (1)
Save: Cabrera (4)
Home run: Markakis 2 (3) Johjima (2) Rodriguez (2)

In game 3 it was not a pitchers battle between Mike Mussina and Hideo Nomo, Nomo pitched 5 2/3 innings and gave up 8 runs, Mussina pitched 4 2/3 and gave up 8. In the 1st inning Nick Markakis hit a two run homer. But the YAnkees rallied back and scored 3 runs off NOmo in the 3rd and 5 in the 6th, but then the Orioles had scored 2 in the 4th and 3 in the 5th to make it a tie game. In the 7th Kenji Johjima hit a solo homer off Ian Kennedy and the Orioles scored 3 more runs. the Yankees scored 2 off Jeremy Guthrie and 1 off Fernando Cabrera in the 9th with a Bobby Abreu solo homer, but it wasn't enough.

Win: Guthrie (1)
Loss: Kennedy (1)
Save Cabrera (5)
Home Run Johjima (3), Markakis (4) Abreu (1)

Image VS ImageIn Game 4 in Baltimore, Matt Morris gave up 5 runs in 5 2/3 innings and gave up home runs to Jason Giambi and Aaron Rowand (who's batting .067, no that's not a typo) Cole Hamels shut the Orioles out in an overall bad outing for the orioles, the bright spot was that Jeremy Guthrie actually pitched well for once and pitched 3 2/3 scoreless innings.

Win Hamels (2)
Loss Morris (1)
Save Rivera (3)
Home Run Giambi (1) Rowand (1)

Murmurs around the Orioles clubhouse start to arouse. Can Morales pitch? "Maybe," Morales said "whatever the front office wants" Paul Sheets came in the clubhouse and said that Morales is too tired to pitch and can't." "Now we're dead with Loewen on the mound" Luke Scott said. Kenji Johjima said " hey Luke, don't be down, I guarantee a win tonight, Loewen has been pitching very well with me". "Well fine," Scott said "but you'd better come through on your promise" Kenji said "I will" and left.

Image VS ImageThings didn't look good for Kenji's promise after A-Rod hit a solo shot after the first inning, but the Orioles scored a run off Phil Hughes, then the Yankees scored again in the 2nd, and the Orioles scored again, but things looked the worst in the 3rd inning when A-rod hit a 511 ft homerun, and then Morgan Ensberg made it back to back. And then the Yankees scored another run in the 4th, but Brian Roberts hit a sac fly, and then Melvin Mora got a single to score another, so it was 5-4 Yankees heading into the 5th. The Yankees scored 2 in the 6th, 1 un earned because of a Melvin Mora error, but then Kenji threw out Derek Jeter trying to steal to try to fullfill his promise. Then Aubrey Huff hit a double Luis Hernandez singled, but didn't knock him in, Brian roberts Singled and knocked huff in, Melvin Mora doubled and knocked both of them in to tie it, and Phil Hughes was relieved by Joba Chamberlain. Then Dan Johnson hit Mora in and gave the Orioles a 1 run lead. But Fernando Hernandez gave up a 2 run homer to Aaron Rowand. Then Enrique Gonzalez exploded in the 8th and gave up 3 runs so the Orioles were down by 4, but Melvin Mora hit a leadoff homer off Joba Chamberlain to make it 12-9, then Nick Markakis doubled, then Dan Johnson doubled and knocked him in to make it 12-10, and the Yankees brought in Mariano Rivera, who threw Dan Johnson out at third when Kenji Johjima hit the ball to him, then guess who was up, Luke Scott, the villain at the beginning of the game could be the hero now, HE CRUSHED A 2 RUN HOMER, he gave Kenji a fistbump, and the Yankees put in BRandon Lyon. who got out Aubrey Huff. The Orioles brought in Fernando Cabrera in a tie game, who uncharacteristically gave up a run. Then Brian Roberts got out, and Melvin Mora crushed another homer to tie the game, and Nick Markakis hit a walk off homer! The Orioles won in a crazy game, and Kenji's promise became true.

Win Cabrera (1)
Loss Lyon (1)
HR: Mora 2 (4) Markakis (5), Scott (2) Rodriguez 2 (4) Ensberg (1) Rowand (2)

sorry guys, I can't do a review of game 5, because I mindlessly went past the stats, all I can say is we lost 5-3, Morales only gave up 3 runs, Chamberlain got the win, Luis Hernandez hit a rare homer, and Mo shut us down this time.
