okay, in the first inning, the Orioles got to Cole Hamels, and scored 5 runs, Andrew Junge pitched 4 innings of 1 run ball, until the 5th inning where A-Rod hit a grand Slam, Junge didn't get a single out, The Orioles scored 3 more runs to make it 8-5, but the Yankees scored 4 off Enrique Gonzalez and Fernando Hernandez to make it 9-8 with mo on the mound going into the 9th inning, Brian Roberts hit a single and stole second, Melvin Mora hit a double to tie the game, Nick Markakis hit a bloop single that Mora thought would get caught, so Mora only got to 3rd, then Dan Johnson hit a walk off sacrifice fly

The Yankees won the Division by 2 games, the Orioles won the Wild Card Brian Roberts ended up tied for stolen base lead, Fernando Cabrera had the most saves, the orioles went 92-70.

Game 1 of the ALDS

VS

In game 1 the Orioles scored 4 runs in the first inning off Lenny Dinardo, including a Dan Johnson home Run, Frankin Morales pitched 5 2/3 innings for the Orioles and then got injured :picard:

the A's scored 1 run off Jason Maxwell, and Fernando Hernandez and Fernando Cabrera came in to close it out, overall a good outing for the orioles, except for the Morales injury, Morales will not miss any days

Game 2 of the ALDS

VS

In game 2 Melvin Mora hit a solo homer in the first innning, Luke Scott hit a two run homer in the 4th, and that was all Hideo Nomo needed as he pitched 7 2/3 scoreless innings with 9 K's. Chad Gaudin didn't pitch badly for the A's but Nomo was too good, the Orioles are excited to be coming back to Baltimore with a 2-0 series lead.

Game 3 of the ALDS

VS

In game 3 in oakland (i thought it was in Baltimore) the Orioles won 7-4, Matt Morris pitched 6 2/3 innings of 3 run ball, Kenji Johjima, Melvin Mora and Nick Markakis all hit home runs as the Orioles finally won a playoff series, they will face the Yankees in the ALCS.
