That's all you got for the 2nd year? You hit 75 homeruns and like .565! Well, hopefully you get to continue, good luck.

For my first year, hit 18 homers, I think 57 RBI, and a AVG. of around .340. For my second year, I got a contract of $1,800,300. Do you think I got a good deal for my contract?

I'm fixing to start my Life mode. Trying for 1B on the Jays. C-contact B-power but not fielding except for B-error res. Maybe I'll get plugged in at DH.

Have you guys been simming much? How long has it taken to get through a year? 2cd year, you are choicing your agent? What kind of contracts have you been offered.

They got you cheap, you should definitely be making more. But, normally in real life we would be getting paid small bucks, like 400,000 dollars each year, then the next three years we would get the big money if we performed. I'm not sure exactly how much you should have gotten, but I'd guess around 5-7 million dollar area. But, also since you're young you're not going to get top dollar right away, your contract should keep going up each year if you perform well.

I haven't gotten to finish a year yet but it only take an hour or two to get through a month without simming.

You get to choose an agent every year according to the manual

Well, I went 21 games in AAA before being called up here's my stats...
.397
10 HR's
14 RBI's

Then I was up for 18 games in the MLB before being sent down again...
.227
0 HR's
1 RBI

I guess I'm like Nelson Cruz, I mash at AAA, then suck at MLB. Hopefully this doesn't continue to be the trend.

The bigs ain't easy. There is a serious jump in difficulty. That's what I love about the game.

I hit a terrible slump and my avg dropped to .266. but I'm still getting HRs here and there. It's mid August yr 1 and my guy is at .266, 36 HR, 84 RBI, 4 SB.

I agree, I love that I can't just dominate right away. They sent me down for about 5 games, during those 5 games I raised my BA to .420+ and in my last game I mashed 3 HR's(the only HR's I hit while I was down there).

But, when I came back up I completely struggled until I hit my 1st MLB HR. Then I picked up my average from .198 to .286 with 4 HR's(1 walk off HR) and 6 RBI's in about 15 games and it looks like I'm going to be up here a little longer, I'll probably go through another slump sometime but hopefully I can stay up longer than last time.

Also, your guy is pretty good, his BA isn't amazing but he's hit 36 HR's and knocked in 86 runs. Good job.

Thanks duke776. My guy owes it all to a successful Dr. Goodjob encounter which gave him 181 power and 11 contact. Now as long as the press doesn't find out about that, he's in the clear...or on it...whatever.

How long did it take you to get your first HR? It seems like once your guy does that, he heats up a bit. At least that was the case for my guy as well

Man, this game is insanely fun. Anyway, I still haven't worked a walk, but I was called up again. The jump from AAA to ML is hard enough, but being stuck on the bench only to come in as a pinch hitter against the opposition's closer makes it even harder. I'm thoroughly addicted now.

Good thing you don't give Dr Goodjob a check or anything and he doesn't give you a receit, you don't even pay him, so they have no proof of you doing anything illegal.

It took me about 25 games to hit my first Major League homerun, and I agree, it seems like after the first HR the player starts to heat up.

Also, this is for anyone, but when someone approaches you to go out to dinner to eat, do you always accept?

I like to accept everyone's invitation to go out and eat with them, then I can decide who I want to be good friends with. The guy who is my best friend star wise, Oakley, got traded to Oakland, but it's good they still stay on our friends list and we can still hang out with them.

No walks for me either, I find it very hard, especially in the MLB where the cursor moves around crazily. It is pretty hard to be a pinch hitter and impress the coach, because we only get one chance a game and two if we're lucky. The coach has given me about 4 starts at firstbase, which that's not even one of my 2nd positions(I don't have any) but I guess it's the best place to put someone who can't field.

Wow, I got called up in the middle of April 2008, I played a few games as a pinch hitter, and I've been the starting CF ever since. I bat in the #4 spot behind Derrek Lee, ahead of A-Ram.
