In my quest to rebuild Oakland, I started things off with a 6-5 Opening Day win over Boston.
A few weeks into the season, I was able to snag Chris Young from the D'Backs for just Josh Willingham, Coco Crisp, and Rich Harden. (Can you say robbery? :D ) Looking for a reliever and possibly a younger OF for DeJesus + Balfour/Breslow as I try to get younger. Any suggestions?

Jay Bruce for DeJesus straight up, Garrett Jones for DeJesus, Gregerson (and Venable if I want) for DeJesus and Breslow, DeJesus for Austin Jackson, DeJesus for Alex Gordon + Zach Miner (I'd probably throw in a reliever too), DeJesus for Travis Snider + Francisco, or DeJesus for Seth Smith?

Went with Gordon + Miner because I wanted a better hitter.
They declined twice, so I just went DeJesus for Gordon.
I like Gordon because it makes room for Ryan Sweeney to move up in the order.
I might still try to get Miner because I like the pitches he has, but I'm going to search for other relievers.

EDIT: Got a 4-star offer of Breslow for Miner declined lol.
On the other hand, Andrew Bailey (8 SV, 1.13 ERA, 11 K) got AL Rookie of the Month! :yay:

Ended up getting Miner for Breslow + Bergmann.

I'm still looking for relievers, and want to get rid of Balfour because he's old, but nobody wants him. (Same with Matsui, though I'll probably keep him because he has some power left. I'll likely just not tender him a contract in the offseason.) I want a set-up guy and so I'll probably have to get one in FA because no one will take Balfour or Fuentes. I'll probably let them go.

Thanks. Looking forward to the rest of the season for Bailey. (AL Rookie of The Year? Or maybe even AL Reliever of the Year? :D )

EDIT: Haven't been checking the stats too much because I've been trying to make trades and have been simming, but Hideki Matsui has only 1 homer a week or two into May. I'm gonna look into trading him for a decent, young hitter that can start in the OF or DH up until the draft, in which I hope to get a decent OFer to take over. Any ideas?
