Bullpen falters as Stranglers lose to Padres
Padres-8
Stranglers-7

That's been the story as of late for Scranton they come out slugging giving more than enough support, but are shut out the rest of the game. The starter gives up 5-6 runs and then the bullpen blows it. Only bright spot was that Kennedy and Howard both hit home runs and are leading the home run race.

WP:K. Cameron
LP: Zagurski
MVP:Adrian Gonzales

Trade Update: Alright I am very frustrated with both Reginald McLeary and our bullpen. I want to give McLeary a year and maybe let him prove himself in spring training. I could trade him to the Cubs for Matt Murton and 1000 points. What should I do?

Jack Merluzzi: Miss Kite and Maya are both up for the job for the Scranton Stranglers reporter.

GM, Mario White: Um excuse me sir, but it is pronounced Miss Kate and Mia. And I have decided... Ringo, drumroll please.

Richard Starky: Yes sir. *Ringo proceeds to drumroll*

Mario: The new Stranglers sideline reporter is... Miss Kate. She will be taking this job from a local station reporting baseball for the Sunny League. As for Mia, she will keep her job at Power Pros Sports.

Marvin, Chris, and Paul simultaneously: YES!

Mario White: We will be launching Scranton Sports Net starting tommorow.

Press guy named Harry Jones: Mr. White who will be the broadcasting team for the Stranglers?

White: We will keep Jack Merluzzi.

Everyone in the room groaned.

White: But, we will add Chris Wheeler.

Everyone who had watched a Phillies game that Chris Wheeler did color commentary on groaned.

White: The radio crew will be Mitch Williams and Kevin Millar.

This they did not groan at.

White: The anchorman for SSN will be Jack Swaggert. The other reporter will be Dennis O'Bell. Thank you for your time.

Scranton Times Tribune May 28th 2008
Stranglers Announce New Broadcasting Team

Today GM Mario White made a big desicion concerning T.V. and radio. He will launch Scranton Sports Net tommorow and gave six people new and improved jobs. However he kept Jack Merluzzi everyone in the Stranglers clubhouse groaned at that. Merluzzi said " Mario Wheat certainly made the right desicion" No that wasn't a typo folks thats how he pronounce White. He also gave longtime Phillies broadcaster, Chris Wheeler a color commentary job. For radio he got two great personalities, Mitch Williams and Kevin Millar. So when you tune into the new and improved SSN be sure to turn the T.V. down and the radio up to watch the Stranglers. For the reporters, Dennis O' Bell and Miss Kate, I can't say enough good things about these two. Both are young and energetic at the age of 25 and are very bright and sharp. Jack Swaggert, the anchorman has got the looks and the pronnunciation down. So look out for the new SSN

The Stranglers will play again on the 29th, the series finale against the Orioles

Harry Jones

May in Review

Miss Kate: The Stranglers are still in first place in May. Although they have had troubles with the bullpen they are looking for trades. Chris Kennedy is leading the league in home runs and RBI. Pablo Sanchez has certainly done a fine job this month after hitting only two home runs in March and April he has hit eleven homers this month. Mario White had a trade in the works with the Yankees in which they would give up Mike Zagurski and Morris for Joba Chamberlain however it has been rejected. Brian Wilson has been doing way below expectations. Mario White denied that he was involved in trade talks.

In other news the Stranglers lost today to the Pirates 4-3 Paul Maholm getting a rare win and Paul McCartney getting a rare loss. Also the Stranglers drafted today and picked up first baseman Mike Clontz and pitcher Fuego Fiore.
That's all for today folks.

Miss Kate walked over to the guys to ask some questions about a certain wild night. Conveniently everyone from that night was there.

Miss Kate: Alright you guys you have until tomorrow to tell me what happened on the night of April 15th or I'll release the story and you better believe that I will make it much worse.
She walked away before they could make any excuses.

Harry Jones was watching so he piped in: Looks like you guys are in some deep trouble.

George Harrison: Thanks.

Chris Kennedy and Paul McCartney simultaneously: I don't think I love her anymore.

Marvin Lesman: Screw you guys! Miss Kate is mine.
He sped off to catch up with her.

Agents you've got some 'splaining to do....

Pablo:"No comprendo Ingles."

Wilson:"I swear, if anybody rats on me, I'm making sure we don't win another game this season!"

Pablo:"Like we were gonna with you pitching."

Crowd:"Ohhhh... Burn."

Fuego Fiore

So he's a Spanish fire and an Italian flower? Interesting combination. Come to think of it, I'm not an agent in this yet, so I guess I'll take Fireflower here. Do we have an agents list so I can pick my 2nd one?

P.S. Image <-- See that? That's a Fuego Fiore. 8)

I skipped the rest of June because Kennedy had like 90 RBI. It didn't work as of July seventh he has 122 RBI. I promise I will get that player update soon.

6/28 Stranglers vs. Orioles

Stranglers:8
Orioles:7
WP: Brian Jones
LP: Jeremy Guthrie
Save: Brian Wilson

This game was tight all the way. It seemed like everyone on both teams got at least one hit. A very poor start from Azul did not make it easy on the offense. In the seventh inning Kennedy hit his second homer making it 6-5. In the ninth Wilson got his fifth save of the season.

Trades: The Stranglers have made three trades
C.J. Wilson for Jay Bohn
Bonser for Fiore
Shouse and Jeroloman for Morris and Zagurski

Next game coming soon.

Wilson has 5 saves? Maybe he better start pitching left handed, he'd probably do just as good.

Miss Kate: Hm... Let's check the replies to my question. Alright we'll start with Lennon. Just because he has laryngitis doesn't mean he can't type.

Lennon: It was all Chris's fault. He was driving.

Ringo: They kidnapped me and they forced me to go to a party and get in trouble.

Paul: Your blackmailing us. You Can't Do That. ( That sounds like a good song). Anyway, you are breaking rules.

P.S. I Love You

P.P.S. That also sounds like a good song.

George: We all got into a car crash and almost died, but I revived all of us with my super powers.

Pablo: We were pulled over because they thought Chris was an illegal Canadian. You know those Canadian Idiots. I had to explain to the police that he was perfectly legal and Irish. I saved us from going to jail.

Brian: I'll never talk. My beard will do the talking when the time comes.

Beard: It was all Chris!

Miss Kate: Hmm... looks like I've got some work cut out for me.
To be continued....
