Power Pros Forum

Zumi, Fuzz, you guys are in my thoughts tonight. I've finally figured out how life works. The worst things happen to the best people because they can handle it the best and make it a positive. You guys can do that. You and your families are in my thoughts.

I have been blessed the past two weeks by working with the (mostly) sweet children at my church at VBS and our Sports Camp we run. Its really rewarding to see the kids improve over the week or immediately after you change they're mechanics a little

lightningman, I think you have said the best things during these times and I am sure your family is very grateful to have such a good guy like you. I am always looking for ways to become a better Christian/Catholic and to say such nice things like that is a great way.

I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but in our members' times of need, you've really been very gracious and caring about the situation. This is the absolute best forum I've ever been on that has this much comraderie, even if there's never gonna be another Power Pros.

Since I love to look at things analytically, I hypothesize that we have this camaraderie because:

1. In my opinion, Power Pros is a game that mainly appeals to people of a certain personality type. I'm not saying that we are all a bunch of clones off each other, but we each have somewhat similar personalities (you may disagree), thus causing us to like each other. Think eHarmony personality matching, if you're having a hard time visualizing this.

2. There's not been a Power Pros game out in three years causing:
--- a) Fewer active members on the forums, the ones who do stick around are obviously loyal. Loyalty is probably one of, if not the most important qualities in a companion (dogs are loyal, etc.). You could argue that loyalty is not merely one quality, but agrouping of patience/perseverance, faithfulness, and some form of kindness/generosity/compassion, but that is besides the point. Since there is a whole grouping of people like this, they are quite likely to bond together.

--- b) With a dwindling amount of game-related things to talk about, this community turns to other things. Since they have a primitive amount of this camaraderie already, they somewhat naturally turn to talking about their personal lives. Now that they know so much about each other, the camaraderie is strengthened even more.

3. We already have established the fact that we like power pros by being interested enough in it to join this forum, so subconsciously, our approval of the game itself has blended with approval of each other, since we only came to know each other through the game. I'll admit that this influence is probably extremely minor, but it seemed to ring true in my mind, so I figured I'd include it nonetheless.

That certainly was a lot longer than I anticipated, hopefully I didn't overanalyze that too much. Hah, definitely overdid it.

I turned signature display off for the first time today, let me know if Paul ever switches to one that isn't ridiculously huge.

Man... the only bad thing about the forum now, is the bot problem that started a few weeks ago.

How do I do that?

You can crop 'em using Paint or Fireworks or Photoshop or whatever.
