He's on a 12 game hitting streak now. He has the best streak in the league so far this season, a 25 game. His average is only .338, but he's leading the majors in hits.

Philadelphia Phillies (28-44) @ Honolulu Sluggers (51-21)
6-20-08-The Sluggers won a close one against the Phillies today. They loaded the bases in the 1st, and Greene and Withey got RBI singles to make it 2-0. In the 2nd, Alex Gordon hit a 2 RBI single to make it 4-0. The action died down then until the 6th, when Ryan Howard hit a 2 run homer to make it 4-2. Pedro Feliz hit an RBI single them to make it 4-3. The Sluggers scored 3 in the 7th, on a Gonzalez RBI single, and a Greene 2 RBI double to make it 7-3. It was a comfortable lead, but Pat Burrell didn't want anybody getting comfortable, and smashed a 3 run homer to make it 7-6 going into the 9th. Johnny Washington closed out the game, and got the save. Our next game is tomorrow, on the 21st, against the Phillies once again, with Bryan Murphy pitching.

6-21-08-The Sluggers won another close one against the Phillies today. Backe got an RBI single in the 2nd, to make it 1-0 early. The Phillies had a good 3rd inning, scoring on an Utley RBI triple, and then Howard brought him home on a 2 run homer, to make it 3-1, Phillies. The Sluggers didn't like the taste of losing though, and tied it in the bottom of the 3rd, on a Gordon solo homer, and an Anderson sac fly to make it 3-3. In the 5th, Gonzalez hit a solo homer, to give the Sluggers a 4-3 lead. That was the last run, as the Sluggers held on for the W. Our next game is on the 24 against the Rangers, with Techer pitching.

Phillies 28-45 not possible! But have you figured out a way to lose simulated games I guess not because of the 50-19 record.

He probably has a ton of at-bats from batting leadoff.

Yeah, I'm getting pretty close the All-Star break, where I'll post all the stats and standings so far. Gordon is the only one in contention, but at least he's in 1st. I thought Stewart would be with his hits, and Backe with his major league leading average.

Texas Rangers (37-39) @ Honolulu Sluggers (53-22)
6-24-08-The Sluggers got down early, but pulled out yet another victory against the Rangers. Josh Hamilton got a 2 RBI double in the 1st, to put the Sluggers down 0-2. 6-28-08-The Sluggers won another close one against the Phillies today. Ryan Howard bullied the pitching, but the Sluggers held on. The Sluggers scored 6 of 8 runs in the 2nd inning, on an Allen 2 RBI double, a Young 2 RBI single, and a Gordon 2 RBI double to put the Phillies down 6-0 early. Ryan Howard hit a solo homer in the bottom of the inning to make it 6-1, and Myers hit a 2 RBI single to make it 6-3. In the 5th, Allen ripped a solo homer to left, and made it 7-3. Then, in the 7th, Backe hit a sac fly to make it 8-3. In the bottom of the 7th though, Howard and Rollins both hit solo homer to make it 8-5. "Alright Bob, this is what I've got for our June Review." said Alex.

"It's hard to believe that June is gone already." said Bob. "It seems like we were just wondering who are players were gonna be. Now we've got the best record in baseball!" said Bob.

"Alright, here it is." said Alex.

June in Review
The Sluggers had another great month of June, going 19-7, very similar to the previous 2 months' records. They are now 59-22 overall, 10 games ahead of the Angels. They have the best record in baseball by 7 games over the Braves. The All-Star game is held this month, and Alex Gordon is in 1st place for 2nd baseman, and Pablo Gonzalez is in 3rd for DH. Ryan Techer has the best ERA, a 2.26, and the most quality starts, with 12. Rocky Thornton is tied for 2nd place in wins, with an amazing 11-0 record. The Sluggers closer, Johnny Washington, has the most saves, with 24. Their SS, Jay Stewart, has the most hits in the MLB, with 119. Alex Gordon is 2nd in homers, 24, and RBI's, with 84. Let's hope they win the All-Star game, and have a great July as well!

"As always, sounds good Alex." said Bob.

Alex smiled, and left the room.

Minnesota Twins (30-53) @ Honolulu Sluggers (61-22)

7-2-08-The Sluggers win was a close one, even though it should've been a blow-out. They jumped to an early 1-0 lead in the 1st on a Pablo Gonzalez RBI single. In the 2nd, Mike Lamb hit a solo homer to tie it at 1-1. Jay Stewart put the Sluggers back ahead though, with an RBI single to make it 2-1. The next batter, Andrew Jones, hit a Grand Slam, to put the Sluggers way ot in front, 6-1. Leo Collins couldn't keep that lead though, giving up 6 runs in his 7 innings pitched. The Twins scored 3 in the 4th, on a Kubel RBI single, a Harris RBI single, and a Gomez RBI ground-out to make it 6-4. They tied it the next inning, the 5th, on a Jason Kubel 2 RBI single. Pablo Gonzalez got another run in for the Sluggers, on a solo homer in the 7th, to make it 7-6. But James Shields, who is usually lights out, gave up a solo homer to none other than Jason Kuubel to tie it at 7-7. In the 9th inningg, with 2 outs, Pablo Gonzalez doubled, and Preston Greene also did, scoring the winning run on a walk-off double. Pablo Gonzalez has been very clutch this season, adding that winning run to his 2 walk-off homers. He will be going to the All-Star game as a back-up DH, with fellow Slugger Alex Gordon, who is starting at 2nd base. The Sluggers are on a 9 game winning streak. Our next game is on the 5th, with Thornton pitching.

Los Angeles Angels (52-35) @ Honolulu Sluggers (64-23)

7-6-08-The Sluggers won today, in a total blow-out against the Angels. The action started in the 3rd, on a Gordon 2 RBI double, and a 2 RBI double by Withey to make it 4-0. In the 4th, the Sluggers loaded the bases, and Gordon cleared them with a Grand Slam to make it 8-0. Then in the 5th, Howie Kendrick got the Angels on the board with a solo homer to make it 8-1.
