Things didn't look good for the Reds today. Despite a RBI by Rolen in the top of the first, Starter Travis Wood gave up five runs in the 5th. Braves starter Jo-Jo Reyes was knocked around in the 6th, giving up 3 runs to make it 5-4 Braves. In the 7th, Ramon Hernandez hit his fifth HR of the year off Rafael Soriano to make it 6-5 Reds. Aroldis Chapman and Heath Bell had great relief preformances, and held the Braves to 5.

27 up, 27 down. It seems impossible. The stuff of legends. Fantasy. But today, Reds ace Bronson Arroyo did just that. Not only did he achieve perfection, he knocked in the winning run. There's not much more to say really, but Arroyo threw a perfecto. Lets celebrate.
Arroyo: "Greatest day of my life. I couldn't have done this without Philllips and Renteria. Both made great plays. I love you Cincinatti."

WP: Arroyo (3-1)
LP: D. Sanchez (1-3)

Reds: 3 6 0
Mets: 0 0 0

MVP: Arroyo (Perfect game, knocked in winning run 13 Ks.)
