Garret Bobby Ferguson, G.B. for short walked into the giant auditorium. Bulbs flashed, reporters scribbled notes on pads of paper, and other tapped away on laptops. He was finally about to be named GM. Walt Jocketty trotted onstage and gave a long winded speech. He shook G.B's hand and said, "In the words of Jack Merluzzi, this is the start of a new era!"

Opening Day started off with the annual parade. Sponsored by Findlay Markets and Big Boy. Bronson Arroyo sang the National Anthem very poorly and was booed off stage. Mayor Mark Mallory once again threw the Fist Pitch straight into the ground. Garret Bobby walked up to his luxury box seat next to former GM Walt Jocketty. The umpire stepped up to home plate and bellowed "Play Ball"

ARIZONA at CINCINATTI
Opening Day started, off dramatically, with both Bronson Arroyo and Brandon Webb shutting down batters left and right. Trouble started in the 7th inning, when Arroyo started to tire. Jose Arredondo was brought in to relieve him, but gave up a hit, and Bandon Webb knocked in a run. Aroldis Chapman came in for the rest of the game, reaching a high of 103 MPH, but gave up 2 runs. The Reds couldn't overcome a 3 run deficit, and lost 0-3.
